First thing i like about this campuse is its beautiful like really beautiful.
Here some teachers are really good and helpful which encourages for better performance in every field
Students can get so many scholarship opportunities once they join this institute like for students living in jk or students with good cgpa.

Dislikes

Professors are not that good as expected,need to understand concepts from youtube
This is quite difficult to afford for a middle class family but there are fee waiver also
Hostels are not that good and have only fans not even cooler so it is difficult in summers washrooms are also not well mantained food is also not that good overall hostels are very unhygienic and are not well mantained

Likes

Greenery in the campus provides a soothe atmosphere to live in.
The teachers are quite helpful and guide students on the right path.
The student mentorship program where in the seniors get yo interact with their juniors.

Dislikes

Course curriculum could have been more based on the real world practices.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Dr. Br Ambedkar National Institute of technology, Jalandhar have been on a fluctuating curve. Many big tech based MNCs and other startups reach the campus for hiring students from different domains.

some of the faculties of our college are very good and inspire us to do good in life
seniors are very good . they are very friendly and supportivr
the clubs and socities and very good and are very active inn campus

college infrastructure that plays a significant impact on student's impressions in eyes of others
high tution fess despite being a government institue
campus life is average . no good fests,events,etc

Placement Experience:

the placement was excellent till 2022 but for 2023 it was good . though average package was about 12 lakhs. as similar to other colleges most cse and ece students got placed with good packages but very few got dream packages(above 30 lacs). most of the students got placed with average packages this year as companies were hiring quite less than previous years

Some of the faculties are very helpful and they provide proper guidance related to life, education every espect
Clubs and societies helps the students in their personal growth like soft skills and increase their confidence
There is large number of the cultural activities

Placement cell need improvement proper faculty team is not there
Syllabus need to be redefine and needs to add the newest technologies
75% Attendance compulsion should not be there as it will create hinderance to those who are working in the field of the research

Placement Experience:

We are eligible for the campus placement from 7 th semester and for internship from 5th semester. There are many companies that come for placement from Intuit to Technip all the ranges of the companies visit our college. This year highest package is 30 LPA by the RapidFort and on an average for IT 10 LPA is an average package This year in case of recession our college made a placement of around 75%.

Likes

I like the campus atmosphere very much. The people around here is polite and helpful.
The facilities provides here like Gym, at NITJ is excellent.
The hostel life is amazing. The best part about college is definitely college life.

Dislikes

The mess food is not so good. It looks so unhealthy.
The equipment is in the department need to repair and replaced.
Few buildings and location need to re-paint.

The placement of my college depends on branch to branch. Some branch has very good placememt and some branch has not. If i talk about CSE,IT,ECE these branch have good pacakage around 12 LPA avergae CTC where if i talk about core branches like mechanical, chemical and textile they have very descent placement. Core companies visits every year for the placememt.

The students are eligible for placements from 4th year but the internships starts from 3rd year itself. The companies like TCS, Infosys, BOSCH, Amazon, Microsoft, Samsung are visited every year and make 50-60 offers.

I liked my seniors they are very friendly and supportive
I like the environment of my college it is quite good
I like some of my professors who are very understanding

Dislikes

I did not like the 75 percent attendance criteria
I did not like teaching staff they are very bad at teaching
The dispensary here is also bad with bad doctors having few knowledge

Life at NITJ

Likes

I like Campus environment, discipline and facilities.overall college experience was good.
All clubs involvement and participation are good.
Seniors are very supportive and college fest was amazing. Specially DJ nights

I disliked 75 percent compulsory attendance

NIT Jalandhar, Whether to Consider or not ?

Likes

The Gym facility. The gym is equipped with all the advance instruments.
The Sports Culture. Our college performs well in the inter nit tournaments.

Dislikes

The Campus size . The college is too small.
The competitive programming culture of the college is not so good.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is good in my college . The Campus placement drive starts in the final year and it continues till the completion of final year. Major tech giants visit our college including google, microsoft, amazon, rapidfort, oracle, Nvidea,etc. Highest package was offered by Microsoft this year @55lpa. My branch placement is 82% . My plan is to join a faang company as software developer after getting my degree.

Is mechanical and electronics in NIT Jalandhar as good as CS in the same college?

Mechanical in NIT Jalandhar:

4-5 senior faculty members are excellent. Every ad-hock is very poor and useful in any way. Undergraduate research opportunities are limited, but you can participate in mechanical teams and learn a lot at international-level competitions and race events, or you can start your own. Self-knowledge is the only source of knowledge. If you want, you can get the most out of your knowledge and experience by leaving here. In terms of numbers, placement is excellent. For a long time, the campus has been dominated by PSUs and automobile companies. This includes excellent companies involved in the core design, the power sector, and the energy sector. They don't go there very often, but the overall placement is excellent.

CSE: Students have good grades and get good jobs as a result of the market boom. Some students are very good learners who work hard for their studies and knowledge, but this type of student is between the ages of 8 and 10. The remaining 80 people dance, sing, and participate in other activities.

ECE: Faculty members are friendly and helpful. Students are exceptional. Placements are good, and some students study the entire CSE curriculum to get the job. If you want to come here, you must choose with your mind, consider all aspects, and think wisely.
