Admission to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) undergraduate program can be pursued through various channels, including the KVPY stream, where high-ranking candidates are invited for counseling to select their preferred group. Key scholarships include the KVPY and INSPIRE, offering Rs. 5,000 monthly stipends, and SC/ST students are exempt from tuition fees. The total BSc course costs around Rs. 4 lakhs, with 99% of students receiving a Rs. 60,000 per annum scholarship. First-year admission fees include Rs. 20,000 admission, a Rs. 25,000 refundable deposit, and Rs. 33,000 for tuition, while hostel and mess fees are approximately Rs. 5,000 each per month. Despite limited placements, students gain valuable experience through internships with organizations like HAL, ISRO, and DRDO.
