Remarks

The campus is the most beautiful campus i think with greenary every where. Labs are really amazing. Proffesors are also helpful. No ragging at all. All are helpful here. The roads are also clean and safe also. The departments are amazing. Gymakhana also win your heart.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure is very good. We have to read all science subjects (pcmb and engineering) for first 3 semester. This might be a very tough job but it is necessary for further research in some interdisciplinary research projects. Along with that it also gives you opportunity to taste every subject and then choose your favourite subject. The labs are awsome. Anyone really enjoy to work in those neat and clean uptodate labs. There are many assignment quizes the proffesor take for assessment. There is a midterm and endterm exam also. Question difficulty is morderate and the professors are also good.

Placement Experience

4.5

The students of cs have many placements and job offer of very high salary. We can choose whatever professor and ask internship in their lab. Iisc also funded students who go for summer project abroad. IISRO, DRDO and other R&D companies come here for students.

College Events

4.5

The most big event of iisc ugs is pravega. It is a big event having many funfilled science events, workshop and many cultural programme. Battel of bands is a programme where many bands come and show their talent. Many other events like sangam, iiscm etc happen led here every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As a government funded institution its fees are very low. Its fees are lower than of iits about one-fifth times. I have to pay only 26000 during admission. It also include other fees like gymkhana fee, library fee etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have kvpy scolarship which give me 5000 per month and 20000 at the end of the each year. Iisc have its own scolarship also for those students who got no scolarship. The kvpy scolarship gives us reasonable money.

Campus Life

5

Gymkhana have all the equipments for sports. Billiyrads, tenis, badminton, arobics, chase, carome, kung fu etc available here. Many coaches also come here but they have to pay. We have a football, cricket, basketball team for participation in many sports meet. There is a nice swimming pool here. Every year sports meet organised here.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes, i opted hostel. My current hostel is e block. This hostel contain dual bed rooms. After 2nd year we get one bed rooms :). The rooms are also very good having cubard and tables. The fascilites are also very good. The fees for hostel is 1000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are truly helpful. No ragging happen here. They conducts many clubs, lectures so that we can prepare for further studies. They also help us by telling about the competitive exams. Alumni also helped students here when they needed.

Admission

First i got a very good rank in kvpy. Through the kvpy channel i got a offer letter from iisc. In the offer letter they invited me to attend a counselling. Attending the counselling process i finally admitted in the college. There are many stream to get admitted in ug department of iisc. Kvpy is one of the stream to get admitted.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The specific aspects is that microbiology is a well developing scope of science in the world. We know how important this subject was when Covid had come to the world. It is related to this subject and find it's relevance everywhere. The course curriculum had started with basics of microbiology and microbial techniques later getting deeper into the subject. The syllabus is set by our college faculties and department head and it is very relevant for future studies. Improvement is needed in teaching methods. Otherwise it's a good place and subject. We get enough time to prepare and write the exams. The papers are usually not difficult if you've prepared we'll. It is on a moderate level.
