Dislikes

There were no much holidays for religious festivals.
Girls have entry into boys hostel but boys have no entry into girls hostel.
There is useless spam in the Microsoft mailbox

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I was interested in research.The faculty: student ratio was around 1:15.Almost all the faculty finished PHD from the prestigious universities in the world.Terms exams are so much difficult.

Class Size: 107Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Since I am still in first year I am not that much aware of internships.But many of my seniors were doing internships in summer and winter holidays.Some of my seniors were doing internships in ISRO and DRDO.

Placement Experience

Placements in the college was good enough but many students wants to continue higher studies in abroad. After getting degree many students join in top universities like Harvard, Oxford, Cambridge, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees were very low compared to the facilities provided.Hostels and mess was very good and the food was awesome.I was getting KVPY fellowship which was around 5000 rupees per month and extra 20000 per year for travel expenses.

Campus Life

Annual fest at our college is Rhapsody and our tech fest is pravega.They are conducted in there month of October and January respectively. There are many sports clubs and cultural clubs in our university

Hostel Facilities

It was a very good hostel.We are provided with a fan,cot, study table,chair,hanger, cupboard and high-speed WiFi.We are provided with wifi even in washrooms also. The meals quality was excellent and extraordinary.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Admission

I was admitted through KVPY-SA exam. Anyone studying in 11th and 12th can apply for the exam. Only SC and ST reservation benefits are availed.But the application fee was pretty high.It was rs.1500. It was a very good exam but it was called off because of high expenses.

Interview Experience

There is an exam called KVPY -SA conducted by department of science and technology for fellowships for young students in the field of research.There are other exams also jee mains,jee advanced,neet,iat exams for admission.

My Regret of joining St George School of Business.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

The course i choose is bsc because of the different subjects in this course it has electronics and computer science . The curriculum prepares me by special courses and the new ways of teaching. The methods of teaching is good but we need new ways like learning with games. The timing of exam is 3 hours for eights marks, and the difficulty is the benches are not comfortable

Peaceful College And Campus Life

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem students get eligible for campus placement, No of companies such as Cipla, infosys,accenture, TCS, wipro, Icici bank have visited our college, provide placements and 90% students get placed in reputed companies. My plan after finishing my Bsc ,i will opting for MSc Biotechnology, then a PhD.I will become a professor.

My journey in Christ University

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Life at IISc- Pros and Cons

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

IISc at a glance: An Institute with a Legacy of Excellence

I applied to IISER Kolkata and got accepted. The choice was governed by IISc having a better ranking and being further away from home. No. I did not apply to any other colleges. Right now, officially, the two entry exams are JEE-Adv and IAT. In the past, KVPY, JEE-M and NEET were also options. Cutoffs vary every year and since this is the first year with only JEE-Adv as the exam, it is difficult to guess where the cutoff would be. The admission process is quite smooth. For M tech in civil engineering you just need to have bachelors degree in relevant field and a valid gate score. Gate cutoff keeps on varying so can't tell exact number but for general category student gate score should be above 750. Application fee for Mtech is Rs 800 for General/OBC/EWS. Eligibility Should have passed 12th class or similar examination with Mathematics and two of Physics/Chemistry/Biology with 60% marks. Should have qualified atleast one of JEE Mains/ JEE Advanced/ KVPY(not there since last year)/ IAT/NEET in the year of admission These exams are held once every year. Difficulty level IAT<JEE MAINS< JEE ADVANCED for people inclined towards maths and NEET and IAT are almost at the same difficulty for people inclined towards biology but IAT has all PCMB subjects while NEET has only PCB The admission process is not that complicated.
