NIT Hamirpur Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Placement rate is good in mechanical engineering which is Almost 90 percent and average package is 6-8 lakh . From seventh semester students become eligible for college placement. And many good companies visit like Jsw ,adani ,realiance and many more. Highest package is 1 crore but it was in it sector. After getting degree I will opt for placements

College placement are good , very high for IT branches that is CSE and ECE having packages sometimes higher than 50LPA but it also offer decent placement to core branches with average package of 6LPA.

The placement of this college is superb. the students were selected in the 7th to 8th semester. In my time the company visited is 35. The percentage of the students selected is approx 99%. I am planning to work for 2 years after that I resign from the job and going for higher education.

Placement is okay around 10 lakh per annum is average. Placements in cse is best and almost all the students get placed. And from many other branches students are well placed so i can say our college has a decent placements

I think that the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness is good after first year. But in the first year a student has to study the basic subjects of all the branchs which is not needed

The students become eligible for placements when they start final year. On an average there's more than 100 companies that come for placements and they almost hire 90% of the batch. The highest package I have heard was 30LPA for software engineering role.

In this time when most of colleges are losing companies to reach and many students are remaining unemployed companies are still reaching our institute . Collge runs a Startup internships program in which many startup companies reach our college and pick students for paid internships , College is also promoting startups by providing funds thorugh projects like E- Crescendo . On campus Plcements start from 3rd year . Highest package was from my own branch Dual Cse that was a year before that was 1.73 crores per annum. Average package reported is currently 18 lakhs per annum. In mechanical branch it was 100 % placement rate. overall it was around 70 % placement rate . My plans after getting degree is to get a job experience then start my own startup idea. compsnies visiting were accenture , infosys , godrej , samsung , capgemini , ibm etc

From fourth year the students become elligible for campus placements. Many companies like amazon,samsung visit our campus. Highest package offered this year was about 50 lakhs and average package was 8 lakhs as per companies. Placement rate is nice but the packages offered in the last is not that great. I aspire to be a computer engineer.
