- The campus is in the outskirts so makes it very difficult to travel to the city.

- Too much focus on courses and academic load is too high which sometimes is too much for students to get into other things.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for internships from the beginning of third year (5th semester), although there are a handful of companies who are also open for the second year students. The internship process is rigid and a long race. Most companies give PPOs to the interning students. Students become eligible for placements from the beginning of their fourth year (7th semester). The best companies come early on and then the average companies keep coming throughout the year. These average companies still offer 10+ LPA offers. This year 70% of the students got placed. Others went on for higher studies abroad and some went for MBA, Government Jobs, etc. Highest package this year was 63 LPA.

- I liked the campus life very much. It is like a real home for the next 4 years for me
- I liked the faculty members and the course curriculum
Dislikes
- There are no shops or malls near by the campus
- There are very much low fundings for events
Placement Experience:
In our campus the PDC secreteray will offer us the placement opportunities. From 5th semester students become elgible for campus placemments. Also, students should maintain a decent CPI for his/her placements. The highest package so far is 52 lack

- variety of sports activities, my personal favorite is frisbee.
- the facility of co-ed hostels in the college.
Dislikes
- the amount of courses to done in one semester (compulsory courses)
- The first come first serve rule of alloting mess and sports for the entire semester

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course currciculum changes each semester based on the real world applications and practicalities of today's world. The best thing about IITGN is that the courses are not only designed by professsors but also based on the feedbacks of the students. The currciculum also prepares us for hand to hand real world problems and also prepares us to pursue other academic activities such as MTech or PhD. Since the curriculum is changing each semester the improvements are itself handled and the teaching methods of the professors and GTFs are also very good. The classes starts early at around 8 am and goes tilll 1pm and then from 2pm to 6pm and for the first 4 semesters a 45min physical activity session is also arranged to maintain the activeness of the students.

- The curriculum aspects where the majority of students get low marks but is ignored by professors
Placement Experience:
Most of the students who apply for placements in the CSE or EE get placed easily, other disciplines have to work hord for the placement. Many students are placed in non-core jobs that creates competition amongst students. Overall the placements facility needs to be improved.

- On the banks of River Sabarmati and outskirts

- Events occuring in Hostel Area leads to lot of noise
- Mess food is sometimes unlikely and have to eat outside.
Placement Experience:
Placements of college are good. 4th year onwards students are eligible for student placements. Some good companies coming here for placements are Texas, Yes Bank, and TCS. The highest Package is 70,00,000 approximately and the average package is 15,00,000 nearly. Nearly all the students sitting for the placement round get placed. My plans after getting the degree is higher studies in some foreign institute.

So, our college is famous for higher studies as this college is having collaboration with universities like CAL-TECH still placements are good almost who register themselve for placement get placed every year and big companies like google amazon adobe etec offers jobs. My plan is to take a good job after my degree
Placement Experience:
The college maintains a record of 100% placement. The college provides us with very good placement packages it feels like we are getting rewards for the hard work that we have done throughout the tenure. The college's highest placement offer is around 50 LPA and the average salary offer is around 20 LPA. Adobe, Ericsson, Essar, Siemens, Tech Mahindra, Aurion, GlobalLogic, Zia Semiconductor, Cipla, Henkel, NewGen are some of the companies that visited the college campus.
Remarks:
I choose IIT Gandhinagar because of its diverse academic curriculum. In IIT Gandhinagar their are elective courses of various streams like humanities, business and management, design courses as well. Students get the opportunity to do minor in other various streams along with their major. Also, you can to minor or major with other core engineering streams. This open flexible opportunity of growth is a big factor to get into IIT Gandhinagar.Underwhelming aspect could be sports facilities but since new sports complex is completed recently this will also get sorted.
Remarks:
It is the best institute in the country where you can grow as you wish.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is good and easy. It has many humanities courses. And once you complete the required credits for graduation you can choose and study any course being offered in the semester. The faculties are also lenient.

What is your review of IIT Gandhinagar CSE department?
IIT Gandhinagar has a great CSE department. The professors are among the best in India. Almost 50% of the faculty members are from the industry. So, you will get hands-on learning experience and in-depth knowledge about the current trends in the industry.
IITGN has a high-performing computer lab and two departmental labs with a capacity of 100 computers each. The research interface of the department is something the institute boasts about. Professors actively take part in cutting-edge research projects.
Companies such as IOCL, Goldman Sachs, ISRO, ITC, etc. recruit CSE students through IIT Gandhinagar placements. The average CTC for the branch is around INR 18 LPA.
