- My friend got a scholarship so i can verify it truly happens and is a great opportunity for students with low parental income to ease their parent's financial pressure
- The college has really good placements, a lot of companies offer a lot of job opportunities and the packages are quite high as well.
- Faculty expertise: iit delhi often attracts experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in their respective fields. students benefit from their guidance and mentorship.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not as good as expected the meal is too bad.
- The race academy curriculum at iit delhi can be intense and demanding a leading to high levels of stress and pressure among students
- 75 percentage criteria is not good. moreover, classes are whole day from 8am to 6pm.

- Overall infrastructure of the campus is nice.
- The peer group is highly intellectual and creative.
- It provides with a lots of much need exposure and career building opportunities.
Dislikes
- The faculty is great in their research but not good in teaching.
- Most of the teaching assistants don't know what they are meant to do which leads to uncertainty
- Many of the equipments are now old and gives faulty readings.
Placement Experience:
Placement interviews are held at the end of the seventh semester.
Students having a CGPA of 7 and above are eligible for sitting in placements.
Highest package in my course goes around 30 LPA, while average is 29 LPA.
Mostly all the students who sit in placements get one.
Currently I am thinking for pursuing M.BA from IIM to pursue consultancy.

- Our college has rich facilities for counseling services. Moreover, seniors are there to help cope the mental pressure during the start of the college
- Faculty is top notch and well educated .
- Infrastructure of main building and lecture hall complex is very good. Sports facilities are well diverse.
Dislikes
- Every part in the course is graded. If an amateur wants to learn, he/she might still be in huge mental pressure.
- The professors communicate only in english language.
- Infrastructure of old hostels is very bad and presently, fragile.
Placement Experience:
Campus placements are available in the college. These are more prompt for students in branches like computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering etc.
However, students in non circuital branches are required to work hard to develop skill sets in technology fields to get placed.
About 40% students get placed in some sort of job, with an average package of about 1300000 INR. Students become eligible for placement as soon as they complete their course credits.

- i really appreciate the the professors and the teaching methods here also the mentorship qualities of the seniors they are so good in mentoring us .
- the infractusture of our campus is really well planned and modernized having a centralised AC system , huge lecture halls , a very multifacility central library .
- for focousing the real world problems for every lecture there is a practical lab for the course so i think this is really a good way to experiment our learned theoritical knowledge.
Dislikes
- i think the crowd of the campus is very vast thats the thing i did not like .
- in exam time the library gets full so thats a secound thing i did not like
- some times the mess food i did not lke about although those are eatable .
Placement Experience:
generally after 4 th semester students become eligible for placement but there are some bright students got placement after 3 rd sem too. there are many companies like microsoft , tcs, google etc . the average package 40lpa. there are 92 to 94 percent students getting placements .

- The city is also very beautiful and a nice place to live in
- There is plethoraa of oppoortunities in IIT Delhi for whatever your passion is there is guidance available

- Delhi is a very polluted city and i had chest troubles in my first sem itself
- People are very competitive this sometimes creates a toxic environment
- The life is very fast paced so it can be tough to keep track of wheer you are going and also to manage certain things
Placement Experience:
Students become eligble for placements starting 7th semester.A lot of companies visit the campus to select the best oof the lot .All the students who appluy foro placements get placed however a lot oof people these days are into their own startups and stuff

- The culture among students is very good that is way more competitive.
- The clubs are too great, and provide a lot of oppurunities.
Dislikes
- Hostels doesn't have air conditioning, so it's too hot.
- This is Delhi so we have to face a lot of pollution.
- The campus sometimes feel small and way more conjusted.
Placement Experience:
From the seventh sem students are eligible for campus placements. Almost all the companies which hires in India came to IIT Delhi for the placements, The highest package is worth about 3-4 cr in recent years and the average package is about 25lakhs. Almost 80% of the students got the placements. After getting the degree I will opt for campus placements.

- Extreme work load in terms of academics ,labs etc
- A constant fomo that your peers are rocking in every field and you are leftover
- Mess food at alomst all hostels except one or two
Course Curriculum Overview:
Cource curriculum is litrally the most dumb and useless curriculum we can ever see, they still teach chemistery mechanical emgeemering subjects to a person in 1st sem which literally make no sense to study ..courses in iit delhi are old and domt meet i dustry standards ,they teach sciemce and research based subjects to an engeenering student who wnat to may be persue a job and that field dont care about how can you solve a modern mechanics problem they want what will help them..

- A very good sports complex is present named Mittal
- Dedicated rooms in every hostel for various activities

- The roooms were very bad, and bathrooms were worst
- the academic is very hectic, you wont get time
- A lot of competition for studies and other activities
Course Curriculum Overview:
The courses in first year are fixed. We cannot change them because IIT Delhi gives their students a chance for department changes. Every student will study the same course in first year. Branch wise subjects will began from second year. The subjects that I have learnt till now were good except a few which I didn't like. Other than that most of them were awesome.

- Campus life here is the best. Here at IIT Delhi you get a wonderful peer group.
- Infrastructure is good. Though the hostel here are quite old.
- Placements are available and a lot of opportunities are made available.
Dislikes
- Faculty of this college Sometimes you have to argue with the Teaching Assistants for the marks.
- The policy of Department change. Students are more stressed about their branch here.
- NO PROPER COUNSELLING SERVICES ARE BEING OFFERED FOR STUDENTS STRUGGLING WITH DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.

7th Semester students going to 8th sem. Google Microsoft Amazon Flipkart Qualcomm are top recruiters. Around 80 percent got placed and some go for UPSC and startups.For majority companies you have to keep your cgpa 7+ or atleast 6.5+ to get a shortlist with no disciplinary action on you.Recruiters involve jpmc, piramal, dr. Reddy pharma, mckinsey, bain, tower research, janestreet, akasa airline, nomura research, 2 cents capital etc. For hft's highest package offered is 4cr and average of 45 lpa, while overall average of our college lies around 27lpa ctc. I will go for non core jobs

- The infrastructure is very beautiful which we can appreciate because in beautiful building students want to go.
- The hostel mees food is very delicious. They gave us mess menu in which burger,dhosa,choumeen,etc are included which I like most.
- The campus placement is better . Here average placement is 30lac.
Dislikes
- Sometimes professors give hard question to solve.
- Sometimes Hostel pipeline problem is there.
- They don't give us holiday in some festival like Chhath,jiutia(Bihari festival).
Placement Experience:
Students can get internship after 1st year ie 2nd semester. Also some students in 1st semester had gotten internship but not all. In companies Google, Microsoft, Infosys, flipkart, Amazon, etc are there. Highest package is 3.7 crore and lowest package is 16 lac.

- Avg. Girls to boy ratio is 1:3 like every iits and engineering colleges
- Huge research and learning opportunities if you want to gain the most out of college life.
Dislikes
- High pressure on students due to heavy Compition among peers
- Less morality between batchmates. Most of them are money minded, friendship doesnt mean much to them
- Hard to ace the way to succes cause you'll have to face a lot of issues at once. but you ll learn a lot from them

We're eligible for placements in 7th semester. OCS is the regulatory body for campus placements in my college. From 7th semester december placement season starts.

99 % placements

How are the IIT Delhi hostel rooms?

The IIT Delhi hostel rooms are very comfortable and make you feel at home. The names of IIT Delhi hostels are based on the names of hill ranges of India- Aravali, Girnar, Himadri, Jwalamukhi, Kailash, Karakoram, Kumaon, Nilgiri, Satpura, Shivalik, Udayagiri, Vindhyachal and Zanskar. All the hostel rooms are two-seater. All the rooms are equipped with beds and almirahs. Water coolers are allowed inside the rooms during the summer season. The hostels of IIT Delhi are facilitated with a mess, washing machines, and drinking water supply on each floor. Here are some pictures of the IIT Delhi hostel rooms-
