Course Curriculum Overview

4

My branch excited me a lot since it has both Mechanical and Computational aspects. We got to learn Machine Learning, Data Structures in detail including Finite Element Analysis, CFD, Fluid Mech, Solid Mech etc.. Faculties should include gaps b/w the exams so that students would be able to cover the syllabus as everybody studies one night before the exams

Internships Opportunities

4

Currently I'm a 3rd year student and till now I haven't got any internship but I'm applying to them. I hope I'll get an intern till feb of next month. My go al is to get an SDE or ML intern. I've done many ML and SDE projects by myself

Placement Experience

5

We're eligible for placements in 7th semester. OCS is the regulatory body for campus placements in my college. From 7th semester december placement season starts. Highest package 3Cr Lowest package 9 lacs 99 % placements My plans are getting placed in an MNC after getting degree from college

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise course structure contain Mess Fees, Academic Fees, Seat Rent and Tution Fees. Mess fee varies from 27-33k generally. Academic fee is 19k per semester (40k per year) and 6750 seat rent per semester. I'm an SC candidate so I don't have to pay for tution fee (1 lac per semester) . Hence, per semester I pay a total amount of about 50k being an SC candidate. For a general candidate, Fee vary from 1.4lacs to 1.5 lacs per semester

Campus Life

5

Annual cultural festival is Rendezvous [oct] Techfest - Tryst (march) Entrepreneurship fest - Becon Socail welfare fest - Kaizen Heavy availability of books and journals in college library. Great opportunities in cultural and sports activities if you're able to give a good amount of time to it

Hostel Facilities

2

Rooms are basic and less spaced in iit delhi and non ac rooms are there for undergrad students. In some hostels, meal is good but in my hostel its as bad as possible . Literal shit. (Gu pakaa ke dedete hai kucch bhi .. khaao ab tum)

Admission

I applied through Josaa counselling according to my jee advanced rank. I put iitd computational mech at 4th choice and i got it. I've also filled iit guwahati , iit bombay and iit roorkie but I'm happy to be landed here insted of any other iits.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is quite good. In my department there are total 160 students including all 4 years of Btech. For them , there is around 50 faculty members to teach and assist them. Faculty named Amitabh Bhattacharya I liked the most since his teaching style is great and his course structure is always well maintained. Exams are difficult to ace. You ve to Crack the key to ace the numerical solving skills

Night Life

4

Gym closes at night Cafeterias are 24*7 open (ccd) Public area is ex hall which whole night open. My hostel is Shivalik and 24*7 entry exit allowed in it. Whole campus is surrounded with guards, you can easily walk around

Other Applied Colleges

The placement of my college is decent enough. If you are from Tech and circutial branches you can expect package ranging around 12-30lpa, and other than this you can expect somewhere between 8-15lpa for other branches. Overall the placement is quite good.

Placement Experience:

The fifth semester students become eligible for campus placements. The College organise placement, registration and shortlisting based on academic performance and semester marks. Many well-known companies visit the campus for hiring every year, including both mass recruitment and profile based offers students get opportunities in core companies as well as IT and consulting firms, the highest package offered in recent years has been competitive, and the average package is decent for most . A good percentage of students manage to secure placement through campus drives, but it also depends on students preparation and skill level students also get internships into placement offers. If a student does not get a campus placement, there are still good options for employability students to prepare for off campus placement, government exams or higher studies like Masters. Overall the placement environment is active and give students affair chance to start their careers.
