IIT Delhi Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Almost all the students on campus are eligible for oncampus placements, there werer around 450-500 companies and around 1400-1500 offers for placement Highest placement was of around 4cr(International) offered by jane street ,a hong kong based quantative analysis firm, and average was around 11-15 lakhs for domestic .

this was what I could get at my jee advanced rank. don't know about the ratio. teachers highly qualified. all are themselves grads, and they teach well. exams happen 3 times a term. and are moderate to difficult

Most tier 1 companies come to IITD for placement season which should tell you how in demand iitd graduates are, companies like Bain, Mckinsey, BCG, and Graviton come here. A high percentage of students get placed in their final year. Some go for higher degrees as well.

Students become eligible for campus placements from 7 semesters there are many companies that visit the campus 90% of students are placed in total with an average package of 18 lakhs per annum and a highest package of 2 crores per annum.

The student becomes eligible for campus placement in their 4th year of BTech. Really big companies like amazon, google, Microsoft, etc. Visits the campus. Most of the students get placed and packages offered vary from crores to modest paying.

For B.Tech and M.Tech there are plenty amount of options they have. They can choose packages from 12 LPA to crores even. As I'm doing Ph.D. from IIT what I can say is Post - a doctoral research career is good to go if we are opting to be lecturers. Otherwise, industries are also preferred by Chemists who synthesize compounds.

I don't exactly have an idea about when the students are eligible for the placements on campus. The highest package is 4 crore and the average package is about 13lakhs. After getting the degree I would probably opt for higher education abroad or in India.

From the 7th semester students generally sit for placements. Companies like Deloitte google microsoft amazon sprinker and many HFTs come and offer great packages. As far as civil core is concerned not many companies come to offer placements as most students who sit for placements sit for tech jobs. Nearly all of the sitting students in placements get placed. I also plan to do a tech job and go for non core jobs.

The course curriculum is good. First-year courses are common to all departments, and from the second year (3rd semester) we get specialized courses. I chose this course because I had an interest in Robotics and automation. The faculty-to-student ratio is nearly 1:50 but the professors are helpful and manage it very well. The faculty are all doctorates from international universities. Although the curriculum is old and has been the same for many years, the faculty has adopted newer methods to teach such as labs and PowerPoint presentations to teach. The exams are always on time. Examination dates are released at the start of the semester and never changed.

The students become eligible for campus placements at the end of the third year and internships at the end of the 2nd year. Almost all the big giants in the tech field and analytics and consulting field visit our campus including BCG, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Jane Street, and Optiver. Almost everyone gets placed with crore packages and very modest paying packages.
