the junior senior relationship in this college is very good
i liked the placement orientation of students in this college
the freedom in this college is very good you can as a boy go anywhere anytime its not same for the girls but its better than other government colleges

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very shitty the auditorium is very old some classrooms do not even have a AC
the professors are very uninterested here in teaching there subject just a few are good
the hostels are very bad compared to what other colleges offer

Placement Experience:

the placement is good enough the people from cse and ece are doing good many students from this college get pre placement offers which is very good and the plans after my degree is to crack into finace as I am not into my core branch

I really liked the peer and the infrastructure of the college
The social media groups are very active of this college
Placement are really at a good level compared to newer iits.

Dislikes

As it is in chandigarh it is difficult to survive in less rupees
Some get advantage of the home state which is really unfair
Campus is always under working which is infact good also

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the campus placements from the starting from 5th semester . Companies like JP MORGAN, MCKINSEY, and Google, microsoft Average package google offers is 28-30 LPA Approx 80-90 percents students this year are placed already.

Likes

Diversity is there. Students from various backgrounds come here.
The college location is great and students often find great atmosphere here
People are very helpful also if you need anything they will help you with it

Dislikes

Course curriculum is outdated and research facility needs to be improved

Placement Experience:

The placements are quite good. If one maintains a good cgpa they will get the job easily. However one really needs to work very hard if they really want to get a good job considering the current market.

Entire Pec College Review

Likes

I love the nature in the college. it's full of trees
I love the architecture too .it gives quite an old feeling
I love the classrooms too which are quite good

Dislikes

I didn't like the Hostels very much..They should be more clean
The mess food is good but it's kinda expensive
The washrooms in the hostel too are not good

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courage curriculum is quite good sometimes it feels a bit heavy in terms of portion when compared it to the syallabus that we are having in few subjects and the labs shouldn be properly equipped as well

Punjab Engineering college complete review

Likes

There are no restrictions on the college campus and most of the campus is clean always.
There are 3 different big field for football, cricket and Athletics. There are also indoor gym and badminton hall.
There is a small pec market inside the campus which works as canteen.

Dislikes

Due to no female reservation, the gender ratio is bad. My class has 1:11 girls:boys ratio
Most of the student dont take the club activites seriously
There is a division between the hostel student and the local day scholars

Placement Experience:

The placements are okay okay. Not very bad but not that great too. This year 40% are students of the 25 batch are placed with highest package of 52LPA. The average sallary is about 16LPA and the placements of lower branchers like Metta and production are also good with highest packagae of 20LPA each

College Review - PEC Chandigarh

Likes

Liked the lush green campus and the beautiful gardens and sporting facilities.
The supportive seniors and mentors for mental health in campus which has made it ragging free.
The great alumni network of college with almost a century old history.

Dislikes

The place as a whole is very expensive and therefore accommodation outside can be difficult.
The other small things like some faculties and a not very rich social circle because almost 50% students are from Chandigarh quota.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are very good even in the very disturbed job market. The number of companies were about 200 and visited were Amex, JP Morgan, Goldmann Sachs, Deloitte, p&g, Microsoft, Google, Infosys, HCl are the popular ones.

Thinks I liked about my college is placements the placement scenario is very good in my college. There are training and placement cell which is known as cdgc especially for the College placements.
The faculty here is very good. You will get experienced faculty for each and every subject having a very deep learning of all the concepts
The campus is somewhat ok you will get money clubs to join and to explore your college life

Dislikes

Hostel condition especially for the first year hostel which is provided that is Shivalik hostel is worst
Mess food is also bad. The fees for the mess food is too high. You have to pay 3600 monthly for the mess food
Hostel fees is also very high it's around 76900 yearly

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is was quite well before 2023 after 2023 because of recession the placement sucks. Students become eligible for internship in their third year that is 6 semester many software companies like Google Microsoft Apple visit in our college for software engineers companies like mckinse Boston consulting services Bane and company American express JP Morgan visits too. This year 53.2 %students got placed

PEC Chandigarh College Review

Likes

Well connected to city of Chandigarh, not in some outskirts, has a beautiful infrastructure and gardens with variety of flowers, it has good sports facilities like volleyball, tennis, badminton, Gymkhana. We also get our own dispensary for medicines.
Regarding placements PEC received a remarkable placement offers due to a good Alumini base it has even when the job markets were down, there are various clubs in college which would shape your personality and I would highly recommend this college.

Dislikes

Chandigarh as a city is very expensive and disciplined so almost no fast food shops are there on roadside. The teachers majority of them are not interested whether you attend class or not few teachers are exceptions. Many festivals are not celebrated

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are quite good in my perspective. In the 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There were many companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Amex, ITC, Airtel,Tata Motors, Jindal Steel, IBM and many more There were around 250-275 offers by companies, (some of them were PPOs - pre-placement offers). The average package was around 12 Lpa for the 23 batch. My plans after getting the degree are to get a job or get admission to a B-school doing an MBA.

Curriculum is not that much hard as compared to other colleges.
Enough free time to pursue your other habits and a lot of good clubs and societies are available to join.
Placement are that of NIT's level. One can easily gets a good placement

Dislikes

College infrastructure is getting old day by day
Mess food quality is not that much good.
Campus is too short as compared compared to other colleges.

Placement Experience:

Punjab engineering college is a very good college in terms of placement. A lot of companies visits every year( including apple). If you will do little hard work, you will get placement easily. All branches average placement is above 10 LPA.
