Here the faculty is very nice they are ready help when students need there help
Here placements is so good and many top companies are approaching to the college students here having good opportunity for the placements average placements is about 13lakhs per annual combining all branches
Many scholarships like fcc, nsp and others are student welfare related and do help the students alot.

Dislikes

Scholarship are there for weak section of society.. my fees is somewhat between 140000 to 150000 years as i didn't receive any scholarship or anything.
The hostel facility is not that great, there is a food problem in terms of taste and water problem in terms of hygiene, there are some issues with the internet also.
The attendance criteria is really strict and the behaviour of the professors are not good

Joyfull life at nit silchar

We have good administration and a very lush green campus. the proffesors are damn supportive

Dislikes

The things that i disliked is the mess food and infrastructure is not up to the mark rest everything is fine

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is relevent and comprehensive in all aspects. my aim was to study electronics nd currently, i am pursuing it. since in the modern world electronics has too much of high potential. there is need for improvent in the teaching methodology rest of everything is fine and we have mid sem nd end sem in a semester so usually it happens after 2 months

Campus size of the college is really very big
Placement statistics is phenomenal as compared to other institutions
Sports facilities in the institute is pretty good

Dislikes

Infrastructures are very old except two or three buildings
Mess food are sometime pathetic which disappoints the most
Hectic academic schedule..and then to write assignment and all

Placement Experience:

Generally from 7th semester students get eligible for placement. many companies vist to the college including Google Microsoft facebook (meta) etc. last year highest placement offered was 80 lakh per annum and nearly 90 percent students get placed

The campus which spreads across 650 acres
Technical and cultural fest and there are important clubs
Good placement including both PSU and IT company

Dislikes

Hectic schedule classes are from 8am to 5 pm
The college gate which is not so big and attractive
Football field is not good enough to play effectively

From 4rd year onwards students are eligible for the campus placements and for the internship students are eligible from 1st year onwards There are many companies like Amazon Flipkart syska , oil india limited Highest 80 lakhs 90% students are placed

Experience at NIT Silchar

Likes

it has a beautiful campus with many lakes,trees,park,tea garden etc.its weather is pleasant.
faculty members are well educated and qualified from well know college.
senios are very helpful.Juniors call seniors as bhaiya and didi,not sir/mam.senior junior interaction is really good.

Dislikes

infrastructure should be improved in some places.
Situated at silchar,due to which exposure and opportunities are a little bit lower than the other bigger cities

usualy students appear for placements during the final year. there are many comanies which recuirt students of this college.some of those are: Microsoft,Amazon,Jcb

A Closer Look at NIT Silchar: Facilities, Placements and More

I appreciate the fact that NITS has the largest digital library in Asia. The library has got a great space to do academic learning. It has also got an auditorium where very important webinars and sessions are held for students which are important.
The seniors of NITS are very helpful. They are always ready to help their juniors both academically and extra curriculum. There is no option of ragging over there rather the seniors are so friendly to their juniors.
The professors are genuinely concerned for the benefit of the students. They make sure that we understand everything crystal clear

Dislikes

The education could have been more digitalised bringing the digital board basically there is lack of smart education which should be a part of today’s education.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. In the placement session for 1022-2023, over 200 companies visited the campus and made more than 690 job offers achieving an overall placement percentage of 89.4%. Some of the prominent recruiters included Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Intuit and many others. The highest package offered was INR 80 LPA while the average package stood at INR 14.39LPA. The percentage of students getting placed in NIT Silchar in the year 2022-2023 was approximately 90.76%. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for the job and also give competitive exams like GATE, ESE

We will have semester wise for a total of 100 marks which includes mid sem ,minor and end sem. They will make sure the syllabus is completed within the time and they make us to do extra efforts on problem solving

Review of the 7th best NIT in the country.

We have a very eco friendly and vast campus that really gives you a good feel that you are in a institution of national importance
The infrastructure is also good. we have all the facilities that can satisfy an graduating students needs
The thing that stands out from all is the students and competitiveness in them that help to learn grow with the help of peers.

Dislikes

Old hostels and few old classrooms but once you get adjusted to them they feel no different
One hardly dislikes anything after they get adjusted in the campus they feel second to home and enjoy the engineering life
The food is also not that great it is just like one can survive on it but not eat it by savoring it

Placement Experience:

This year placements have not been up to the mark due to the market scenarios. the obvious recession and the downfall in the IT industry but compared to colleges I would still say our college is in a better place compared to others colleges with an average package of around 14 LPA and with a placed student percentage of about 75% of the students who registered for the placements.

Overall College Review of NIT Silchar

Green and beautiful campus with a very large area, presence of more than 20 lakes .
All facilities required by a student are available here.
Football ground, cricket ground, etc. and indoor games playing area are available.

Placement Experience:

Right not ,the placement scenerio is very good in college. Last year ,highest package was 80 lakh per annum and average package was 16 lakh per annum and of my branch average package was 18 lakhs per annum.The top companies such as amazon, atlassion, facebook, myntra etc. visit our campus to give on campus placement and internship. my plan is to take on campus placemnt after getting degree

My college review (NITS)

Likes

The college environment is very good and eco-friendly
The labs are well equipped with instruments..There is also a library which is Asia biggest library
The professors are very qualified and attentive

Dislikes

The administration process is little bit slow
The hostel facility is not good and foods are worst

Placement Experience:

The placement of college is very good ,and it's the second-best placement-giving college in north East. The average package of my college is 18 lpa. There is a training and placement cell in college which helps students to place in. Mostly 95% student of my branch is placed..if to any reason anyone doesn't get on-campus placement then he can also apply for off-campus placement as He is a degree holder from top nit so it will be easy for hime to get placed.

Likes

Beautiful campus. lots of greenery. unpredictable weather. good t-point. 625 acres. Tea Garden. 18+ lakes.
clubs of different aspects which helps individuals to groom.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. Companies like Atlassian, Google, Microsft and JP Morgan etc come and give healthy placements. Median salary is alsmost 15LPA. Percentage wise 95% students get placed while 3% go for higher studies.

NIT Silchar is a prestigious engineering college that imparts quality education in various fields. However, the PG courses aren't very well-known and only the UG courses have gained fame over time. It is therefore advisable to check the profiles of the teachers in the respective department.

Additionally, NIT Silchar is located in a remote location and you might find it difficult to procure your equipment for projects. MTech depends on the quality of the research and project you have completed and if you fail to accomplish it your MTech degree is invaluable.

Most companies visiting NIT Silchar prefer BTech students to MTech students. So getting a good job let alone a core job is very difficult here. The institute has no international ties so your future prospects may narrow down further.

Consider all the above factors before making your final decision!
