Iit guwahati is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for the picturesque beauty for its campus, making it one the most aesthetically pleasing educational instituitions in india.

Dislikes

Gate was entrance exam for this course.i found the application form and details in iitg website only.reservation is available but i am not eligible for that .exams are so difficult .it is so much difficult
Hostel mess food is very bad, and very less food outlets
The heavy workload, with assignments, projects, and exams, stress students. balancing studies with extracurriculars and personal life is be tough.

Placement Experience:

The college placement records are wonderful. Like other IITs IIT Guwahati also provides high packages for deserving candidates. The college placement cell is helpful and supportive they guide and help us during the placement drive and make sure that each and every participating student is selected. The highest package for our batch went up to 95 LPA and the average package went up to 50 LPA. Most of the students receive pre-placement offers during the internship program. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Chalo, Goldman Sachs, Qualcomm, Groww, Razorpay, Apple, DRDO, etc participated in the campus placement drive.

The college has one of the best placement records. the college placement committee is so dedicated that they make sure that every student appearing for placement is placed. They work as a mentor for the students and guide us throughout the placement process. The college has a 100% placement record and all because of the hard work of the college placement committee. The highest package during our batch went up to 95 LPA and the average package was around 50 LPA. One of the best plus points is most of the students receive pre-placement offers. Campus filled with joy

Remarks:

Excellent academic and Research Facilities. Professors are very helpful. Campus full of natural beauty which will make you fall in love in the campus. Hostel facilities are very good get separate room for privacy.

IITG in nutshell

Placement Experience:

The placement stats of IITG are quite impressive. There is almost 90-100% placement for Computer Science and Electronics branch but the placement stats of other core branches are quite low. The average package offered to a Computer Science student is around 20LPA.

Beautiful campus

Remarks:

It comes in older IIT, placement also good. The branch I wish at that time was VLSI & IIT Guwahati allowed GATE-EE students. now they allowing only ECE students. Lot of students on Facebook group gave good reviews of VLSI specialization so i went for it.

M.Tech from IITG, Worthy without a question.

Remarks:

For personal reasons, i was not able to attend any other college interview or test. But got iitg in coap round 5. After joinning, I won't regret my decision of joining IITG, environment is too good hete, course work is quite good, u will get a lot to learn. For placement, yes i guess, even in covid pandemic situation, everything is managed quite well and 100% placement for cse is resulted.

Remarks:

We all had to go for counseling at IITG for the registration purpose before admission.I fall in love with the campus, to be honest. 3-4 lakes inside the compus, campus is at the bank of Bramhaputra river which makes the campus even more special.

To be eligible for admission to M.Tech programs, you need to have graduated in B.Tech with 60% or M.Sc/AMIETE degree then appear for GATE entrance test.
