Remarks

Faculty members are very friendly. There's a sort of autonomy every Department enjoys in the Institute. I receive my stipend(12,400) on time every month.Due to my rank the process of admission was straight forward, it happened via COAPS portal

Course Curriculum Overview

I see myself as a teacher / researcher in this field down the road. Every faculty is accessible to the students. Exams due to the lockdown and travel restrictions were carried out online, but well proctored, but nothing is fool proof. Difficulty level was quite high, but as everyone is a well qualified scholar no one I know scored below 8. I myself score a 9.6 and 9.2 in first and second semester respectively

Internships Opportunities

I'm sure if not for the pandemic, there would be solid opportunities. Well.

Placement Experience

As my field is a research oriented one, jobs are of course available. But my goal is to get a PhD. After which it seems to be nearly 100% scope in teaching and research positions in research centres and colleges across India

Fee Structure And Facilities

12,400 is monthly stipend to every student in MTech, over which you can apply for other scholarships(Samsung etc.)As long as you've qualified the entrance exams, you'll get by and be able to afford you're fees and your expenses by yourself

Campus Life

Been off campus so far. Were given an option to come to the campus voluntarily which didn't work out for me last semesterWill be called hopefully soon. Will update when I get there. But I've heard its quite good and aesthetically speaking its the best campus in the nation for sure.

A beautiful college

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent in my branch. But in recent times there is a dip in coming companies.Average package of my branch is 8 lpa and highest goes around 21 lpa. Almost 80 percent students get placed and others choose phd. My plan is to get a good package job.

I had qualified GATE entrance in 2016 and score 398. Gauhati University is the oldest and best university in the entire north-east. Gauhati University has more than 30 departments and known for its quality education. It is located in the capital city of Assam and have a very beautiful campus. Railway Station and Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is near by it. Its one of the best University of India i have visited in my life.

Detailed and Unbiased Review

I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
