- Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF): This facility was established at Gauhati University Campus to facilitate the research activities at the University. At present CIF is housed in the Department of Chemistry, Gauhati University as the permanent CIF building is being constructed. The facility currently has a Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), a High-Resolution Mass Spectrometer (HRMS), and an Atomic Force microscope (AFM).
- Institutional Biotech Hub: The Institutional Biotech Hub at Gauhati University campus was sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology; Govt of India. The Institutional Biotech Hub (IBH-GU) is boosting the infrastructure facility for molecular biology and proving the atmosphere for research and education. Besides the Department of Biotechnology, other Departments like Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology are also availing this facility.
