Admissions to PhD programs are based on the GURET (GU Research Eligibility Test). Recipient of CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, DBT-JRF, and any National Level Fellowship / Scholarship (awarded for the Ph.D. program by a National Agency, such as INSPIRE Fellowship, MHRD, etc.) in the concerned subjects are exempted from appearing in the GURET, subject to verification and approval by the competent authority of GU.

I applied to various colleges but I confirmed Darrang College because this college is near to my home as compared to others . I didn't got rejection from other colleges. I didn't make it there because the course I wanted to study was not there . The admission process is merit based . This course don't require any exams but 10+2 academic qualification and the cutoffs for the availability of seats is more than 70%.
