Likes

Iith provides you teaching from the best teachers who are well qualified.
Students in our college gets internship opportunities in their third year.if they performed well in their internship,the company provides preplacement offers before completing their engineering.many best companies like google, microsoft, wipro, tcs, etc come to our college to hire students.
Hostels are great here, there are groups of 6 or 8 rooms forming one pod which helps in mingling better with other students.

Dislikes

I disliked the professor very much, the are very bad in teaching
Sometimes the faculty of my department (mathematics) were hard to deal with.
The professors are two strict not even giving exam paper in advanced range.

Likes

The environment to study filled with active students
The resources and the courses made available to the students
The interactive teacher's intentions to teach students

Dislikes

The mess food is little dissapointing to eat
There is dust flying in the air due to the construction works of the campus
The cleaning process in the washroom is irregular

The main thing that driven me into takinng this course is the potential this course has in future and a variety of job offers in and out of the country but the main reason is to do reasearch over this branch

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered in our college at 7th and 8th semester for btech students. Many companies are offered every year more than 150 were offered every year. Highest package was 60-70 lakhs and average was 10 lakhs.

Iith life

Likes

The fractal academics that we have here really helps on focusing more on important topics.
The sports arena here has really good coaching and all.
The hostels are good with good maintenance.

Dislikes

The mess food can be improved and the canteen also .
There is a factory nearby the campus which releases stupid odour.
The campus is too far from the railway stations and airport.

Placement Experience:

The student must have an average cg of 7.5 to sit for placements. The average package for our college is 20 lakhs per annum. The highest this year was 96 lakhs per annum . There are many places by pre placement offers. I still don't know if I am going to go for software jobs . I'll mostly go for masters after my btech .

Experiencing Life in IIT Hyderabad

Likes

I liked the environment and sports in my campus.
I enjoyed participating in club activities and fests
I enjoy the teaching and labs in the campus

Dislikes

Sometimes teaching was not upto mark and i couldn't understand concepts
Some exams are difficult and we dont get as much as we have expected
I dislike the dogs in my campus while im in canteen

Placement Experience:

The placement rate in my college is more compared to other local colleges. Our campus is usually visited by Microsoft, google, vitro etc. After getting a degree I plan to pursue further studies in MBA. I feel that that if you do the work, you will be placed.

Likes

Good campus life which gives students scope to explore
Annual fests that provide a break from regular academics
Club from different domains that let us innovate

Dislikes

Too difficult exams and not much notes provided by faculty
Self learning becomes more important that what is taught in the cirriculum

Placement Experience:

Students are open for placements from 7th semester. However there are internship opportunities from 5th semester. The highest package offered last year was rupees sixty lakhs lpa and average is about twenty lakhs lpa. My plans after degree is to do job for about 1-2 years and then plan for higher studies later.

I like the infrastructure of the campus and the peace environment in it.
Mess food, sports facilities, gym facilities and other curriculum facilities are best
The way of teaching of professors is appreciable. Their way of taking exams and checking the abilities of students is appreciable

Dislikes

As there is diversity in the campus so sometimes it's difficult to communicate others.
As we know how nice we feels when we talk in our native language but sometimes we are unable to find person of same place
24*7 is allowed for students to go out and in. Some people are misusing this opportunity, it is not good

I choose this couse because of two reasons first according to my JEE-ADVANCE rank I was getting this only, and there are many other opportunities in research field of it. Material science brings an opportunity to explore more with materials everyday find new innovations and make other's lives better Faculty student ratio all around 5:20 They are PHd scholars and having very innovative way of teaching. It depends upon how you study that the exams and marks you are getting in it

Nice teaching and clearing of concepts by faculties
Friendly atmosphere and nice food by the mess with varieties of food
Very helpful seniors who help from time to time regarding course diffculties

Dislikes

Infrastructure is still going on due to which a lot of dust is there floating in air
Sometimes the administration can take a lot of time for certain issues
the course can include more computer subjects

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because it would help to expand my knowldege about hardware and software parts. Overally, the faculty:student ratio is 1:5. Most of the faculty are IIT graduates while some are foreign universities graduate; their teaching method is very realistic with approach to help students. The term exams are conducted timely and it wolud require a little patience and hard work to pass the exams.

MY College Life

Likes

I like Campus life the most as it is very free environment where you can do whatever you want without much restriction.
Two big festivals every year Elan & vision , Milan are really enjoyable.
Faculties are very helpfull and understands students situations.

Dislikes

There is Language problem with local people .Its sometime difficult to understand what they want to say.
As campus is still in construction and new I feel here lack of Greenery.
There should be some neccesery courses and project for all students which can help them in their placements.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are really good here. If you have enough skills you can easily get place with a good package.All most all company come here for hiring students. Highest and average package somewhat depends on branch but overall I can say Highest is above 50 lakhs CTC every year and average is 15-18 lakhs.

acadamics and curriculum is good for all branches.
all sports grounds are there including swimming pool.

college is present on highway far from city
there is no greenery and less trees in college
common bathrooms are provided for all hostel blocks

Placement Experience:

highest package for 2024 passout is 1.6 cr(ctc).where 67lakhs for 2023 passout batch.so many companies visit IIT hyderabad every year almost 300-400 companies visited this year.Almost 80-90% student get placed every year. due to recession there is down fall in placements this year.

Although every department of IIT Hyderabad offers top-notch education, it’s the EE department that steals the show. There are many unique aspects of this department that make it one of the most coveted branches of IIT Hyderabad.

The fractal academic system is a unique feature of IIT Hyderabad that sets it apart from other IITs. You have no choice but to work hard and excel in all subjects. There aren’t mids and ends in every sem instead you have monthly quizzes to evaluate you regularly.
There are many other strategies adopted to make the students work hard. For example, surprise quizzes in almost every subject are taken. These quizzes require the students to prepare before and after every class and also be regular to classes.
The EE department helps convert theory to practice through a number of projects.
