Likes

The fractal academics that we have here really helps on focusing more on important topics.
The sports arena here has really good coaching and all.
The hostels are good with good maintenance.

Dislikes

The mess food can be improved and the canteen also .
There is a factory nearby the campus which releases stupid odour.
The campus is too far from the railway stations and airport.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have fractal academics here in iith . Due to which the one credit courses will have less hours of interaction with the lecturer where as for the credit courses the interaction hours will be more it will be for the whole semester. Some faculty are good where as a few lecturers are not that good.

Placement Experience

The student must have an average cg of 7.5 to sit for placements. The average package for our college is 20 lakhs per annum. The highest this year was 96 lakhs per annum . There are many places by pre placement offers. I still don't know if I am going to go for software jobs . I'll mostly go for masters after my btech .

Fees and Financial Aid

My tution fee is 100000. Hostel and mess fee together are 43000. I have applied for a loan in the sbi bank in the college. The loan is vidyalakshmi which offers a loan of 8 lakhs for the course period with no interest. I also applied for the fee remission of 2/3rd of my tution fee which is offered for students with annual income below 5 lakhs per annum .

Campus Life

Our college is still a developing one so not everything is constructed yet . But the ones that are already constructed are really good . We have an indoor sports complex . A really good library. We also have various cultural clubs as well as science technology clubs though they need some improvement.

Hostel Facilities

Our hostels are new ones so compared to other iits our accomodation is good . We have radiant cooling in summers and thermal insulations in winter . The maintainance is good . I feel that the mess food is good overall. The dinners and breakfast are good . The lunch is ok-ish. Though most of times I just end up eating in the canteen .

Hostel Fee: INR 43000 per year

Admission

I have entered the college through jee advanced exam for which we have to pass the jee main exam first. I have obtained the reservation benefits of OBC category. My rank was air 18k . It was 4.5 k in OBC category . I got mechanical engineering seat in Iith.

Life at RIshi

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from year 4. The companies that usually visit are TCS, Capgemini and MMC etc. The college supports students by providing both technical and non technical jobs and any other uncoventinal career support upon request. Students aspiring to pursue education abroad are also provided with guidance and support.

Good college to join for study

Placement Experience:

So coming to placements they will provide good no. of placements if we have skills and keen of intrest to learn new things and grab oppurtunities. Also our colleg has NACC and NBA accredation there will be more companies approaching our college and taking students for placements and trainging. TP CELL will give its 100% in placements pushes students forward for various trainings and placements. Basically placement starts froms 3-2 mostly form 4-1 where students go to attend interviews and attend exams. companies like Infosys, Wypro, My schools, Infotech, and many MNC's. every year almost 150-200 students will be selected for placements. average package will be 3.0 - 4.5LPA and the highest package is 7.5LPA . their package is decided by companies according to the role they applied and thier level of skill. 45- 50% of the students will be selected for the placements. My plans after getting the degree: If i got selected in placement its well and good i will proceed further with the placement i got incase if didnt get placed i will try of the jobs and then shortly start a business.

College review: Pros, Cons and reality.

Placement Experience:

During 3-1 , we get only one internship i.e JPMC offering 75,000 per month which is of 3-month internship. Thhis year it took around 16 students. through coding round, hire vue interview and the hackathon process. I was selected to hackathon but sadly due to communication skills lack, I was not selected as intern , although I passed coding round, hire vue interview and entered hackathon. From 4-1 onwards we get placement oppurtunities like Deloitte, Chubb, oracle, DE Shaw, etc companies visit and offer good package only.

The placements in our college are very good the highest package which we got in our college this year is around 18 lpa and the lowest package offered is around 3 to 3.5 lpa and the average package is around 4.5 lpa a lot of companies come to our college to conduct the placement drive as we have campus recruitment training from our first year it makes it a bit easier to face the interview some of the companies that visit our college are mandatory cognizant TCS Accenture Infosys Wipro HCL ADP the placement drive starts when you are in your 4th year 1st semester or at the end of your third year second semester

A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF IITHYDERABAD

I appiled for vit and emcept but main goal to join iit, no i dint get rejection in any colleges i got admission in every college but i didnt choose because of my dream college. In iits we get very good and merit people and we get more free time and time to study ourself and learn things by ourself. We have a lot fests at least for a month we enjoy a lot and we have a lot of resouces to get knowledge and good faculity. The only one eligiblity for our college is to write jee advancee and mains . First for mains more than 14 lakhs people write and in that 14 lakhs 2to 3 lakh people slected for advance.
