Course Curriculum Overview

5

Coming to my course, I like data science , though I randomly choosed. I initially thought like everyone to choose trending topics like AI, ML, Data Science, Cyber security and ended up doing that. But now I am loving it. I not only practically learned abput data science but also about AI and ML, by doing research projects, real world projects with my fellow friends and faculty. Teaching methods needs to be improved with practical exposure not just theoritical. and the frequency of exams are like if course starts now after 2 month mid 1 starts and then after 2 months internals, mid2 , externals and semester with few days gap in between different exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

We got only one internship oppurtunity during 3-1 i.e JPMC but the companies which come at 4-1 offer internship + full time role. As I have participated last round of JPMC hackathon, I can tell details i.e Firstly the students with CGPA above 8.5 apply using resume(In our college around 700 - 800 members participated) , from that students get shortlisted, then coding round (where 500-600 got shortlisted), then hire vue interview (where 300-400 goot shorlisted) and then Last hackathon process around 40-50 got shortlisted I am one of them. For internship, 16 members, Sadly I did not get selected, I guess it is all about communication. It is 3 months internship with stipend of 75,000 per month. This is all about luck and hardwork(skills), you need to have both. One thing doesn't work.

Placement Experience

4

During 3-1 , we get only one internship i.e JPMC offering 75,000 per month which is of 3-month internship. Thhis year it took around 16 students. through coding round, hire vue interview and the hackathon process. I was selected to hackathon but sadly due to communication skills lack, I was not selected as intern , although I passed coding round, hire vue interview and entered hackathon. From 4-1 onwards we get placement oppurtunities like Deloitte, Chubb, oracle, DE Shaw, etc companies visit and offer good package only.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am 2023-2027 batch, My fee structure is 1,20,000 around and we have yearly miscellaneous fees of around 7,500 and semester exam fees of 1515 rupees. But now it seems to be increased from 2026 batch, i.e double. But for us it is same. I am getting a fee remibursment as I got TSEAMCET Rank below 10000 i.e 3000. So Currently I am not paying tution fee but I need to pay other miscellaneous, College Bus and semester exam fee.

Campus Life

4

If I have to rate my Btech college life out of 10, I would rate 8. Because 1. I will get my degree and placement from this college 2. I really like the non tech fests in the college 3. I really enjoyed participating and organizing the tech and fun fests in the college Coming to range and accessibility of books, We have quite spacious library in our college along with digital library. Sports fest happens every year in our college around februaury or march every year, different college people come across. There are wide range of clubs , from tech to non-tech i.e study to fun. It is just aboutinteracting and communicating with friends, seniors or faculty. We have biggest tech fests like convergence, Technovista etc and non-tech fests like scintillashunz every year.

Admission

I applied for CBIT, GRIET, and also they got confirmed. But first parameter I choose VNR VJIET is placements , Second one is tech and non tech events where I can have fun :). I rejected these colleges beacause CBIT is far from where I stay and I felt better with VNRVJIET. But I didn't know It is same as any other college(IIT, NIT, Tier-2) when it comes to so called Btech life. UNTIL you have your that friends till the end.

Faculty

4

My department is CSE-(DS, CyS) & AI&DS, In our department we have around 50 faculty and 360 students around. Student - faculty is good according to me, It is again based on particular faculty only not all of them , not few of them. I like Sunanda mam, because she teaches well. I like madhuri mam too, she is friendly and approachable for any query and she is very passionated about new tech and researching and doing projects which aligns with my interests.

Night Life

4

We do have gym but I dont know much about that. We have canteen which is quite good. Library is good. Hangout places in college is the peb block backside area only for me. Coming to outisde college, we can visit cafes or malls in pragathi nagar(Anthera cafe, Delicious cafe etc) or JNTU (Lulu mall :), Nexus mall :) etc) During night, It is good. As I stayed during 24hr hackathon. It is a memorable experience.

Other Applied Colleges

Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology - [CBIT] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science)

Because, It was too far way from my home.

Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology - [GRIET] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)

I liked VNR VJIET, placement-wise.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It has regulations which is very comprehensive in covering the theoretical and fundamental concept or aspects of the engineering subjects. It includes strong core foundation in math, phy and very imp programming languages i.e core subjects. It has a guaranteed university recogniton like JNTUH. It should be improved in the teaching methords and conduct more workshops so that it'll be a practical experience for students to learn best. Jntu correction scheme is very strict.

Placement Experience:

The best part of the college is its placement of the college. Almost all companies visit the campus, including Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and almost all. The average percentage of the college is around 85 percent. In Chemical engineering, the placement is a little bit, it's around 90 percent. I'm planning for placements on the Software side.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is accurate and relevant as well. This helps the students to have good knowledge and grip on current scenarios, and it also helps to survive and get placement.Tge frequency of the exams is 45 or 50 days each. And it is not so difficult because the faculty teach in a proper and understandable way in which the students can understand and attempt the exams . Coming to teaching methods, every class is having a smart screen and projector as well for better understanding.
