NxtWave of Innovation in Advanced Technologies is an initiative by Rahul Attuluri (CEO, IIIT Hyderabad alumni), Sashank Gujjula (COO, IIT Kharagpur alumni), and Anupam Pedarla (IIT Bombay alumni). The institute was formed in 2023 to evolve the traditional form of engineering education in India. NIAT is recognised by the UGC and is approved by AICTE.
The institute partners with 20+ colleges and universities. The classes are conducted in the respective universities. Admissions are based on the NAT (NxtWave Assessment Test), an online exam, to evaluate students. JEE Main scores are not accepted at NIAT. NAT is conducted in different phases.
Note: The candidates will get the degree from the respective universities, but with Industry-Ready Certification (IRC) from NIAT.

NIAT Hyderabad Admission 2026
NIAT Hyderabad offers admission based on NAT (NxtWave Assessment Test). The admissions are ongoing at NIAT. The application fee is INR 1200 (non-refundable). The exam is conducted multiple times a month in online mode. The exam lasts 90 minutes and consists of 3 parts: Psychometric Test, Aptitude, and Mathematics. The exam pattern of NAT is tabulated below:

NIAT Hyderabad Eligibility Criteria
The candidates can apply for admission after qualifying the given criteria:
- 10+2 (PCM) with 60%
- Passed out in 2022/2023/2024/2025
- Candidates passed out before 2022 are not eligible to apply.
Note: NIAT offers scholarship benefits of up to 100% on its upskilling program for eligible learners. These merit-based scholarship benefits are evaluated based on factors such as a learner’s performance in the NxtWave Assessment Test (NAT), 1:1 Counselling and other program-specific criteria.
