- College doesn't have a good ground to play in. Ground which is half covered with the bus parkings.
- Area of college is also dissappointing. too small compared to all the rest.
- infrastructure of the college is also not good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Curriculum includes all the vital areas required to learn for a techi aspirant. they got data structures, algorithms, oop, python, software engineering, and more which made me to choose the course. yeah.. it as well prepares you to face the real world through the projects encouraged. teaching methods are varied from faculty to faculty. some got the zeal to make students understand. others who merely suffer to complete syllabus through scrolling pdf in the class, they must attempt in making students enthusiastic.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities for the CS bachground students is through the companies such as visa for 90000/-. and service now for 45000/- and many more. For electronics background students they get interned in companies such as silicon labs and more. Roles an intern get is SDE(software development engineer) and others. Projects vary.
Placement Experience
Generally, students from 3rd year second semester are eligible for the placements. some, who are interns at a company earns the place to proceed for the rest of life. some others should try harder because they didnt get the internship. It is important to get internship. Companies do visit vasavi such as visa, silicon labs, cisco and more to pick interns or to pick engineers. percentage around 60-70 gets placed every year. Actually placements decreased after the recession.
Fees and Financial Aid
yeah.. tution fee increases year by year. but for an individual, the fee you pay at the start of the course will be continued throughout the course. cost of the total education is aroung 10 lakhs to 13 lakhs. college also provides the financial aid for those who are in need. scholarships such as NSP are available. specifically NSP provides around 10-12 thousand every year.
Campus Life
Books at the library are not complete. They provide you with the basic books needed for the semester. the books with your wings of interest may not be available. but, yes it gives you the curriculum required books. returning books late leads to fine. The only technology in classrooms are projectors. sports are once in a blue moon at vasavi. social groups yes. Some groups such as theme ballet for dance, MUN and more.
Admission
I got admission to vasavi college of engineering through ts eamcet entrance exam. one can also get into the college through b category or through jee mains score. application form is available at the official website of the government. reimbursement can be claimed to those who are eligible. who got rank less than 10000 in eamcet . term exams difficulty exam is good.
