I feel so proud to be here and the faculty are just superb and awesome.
Thd placement in my college is pretty good in my branch the average package is ruppees 2500000 per annum many of big companies like microsoft, atlasian, amazon, google, wipro etc visits here for giving good placements
Even if bit mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is very bad they are very rude they don't listen to anyone else.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside
Some faculty members are very educated and experienced but some of them have absolutely no knowledge they have just got the degree are just there to disturb students.

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

Likes

Beautiful Campus and large enough to cater all needs of a student
Labs are good and as far as equipments are concerned they are working
Teacher are for the most part supportive. Exceptions always there

Dislikes

Campus is borderless on two sides and hence there are security concerns. Alot of mishaps have happened in the past and continues to.
Little far from the city for food purpose. Zomato Swiggy takes extra delivery charge to deliver stuff.
Campus goes silent when sunsets. Night culture is quite nil coz Hostels are separate for all and Girls have a IN TIME RESTRICTION OF 9PM which makes it horrible for them.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Only the students who have ranked top are a part of this college as otherwise students dont get entry here.
Even with such a large crowd students are into their own and societies with nearly 1000 students exists in our college.

Dislikes

Our academic load is even higher than that of closed rank colleges or for that matter even NITs.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Life at BIT Mesra

Likes

Every faculty is open for any doubt of students in the university. Neither of the student is discriminated over any particular thing
University is very beautiful. The campus is filled with trees, plants and flowers. Every area inside the campus is beutifully maintained by workers.
Students from different states of India come to study in my university. Since it is an engineering college, girl is to boy ratio is 4:1

Dislikes

Faculties try to complete the syllabus in very fast speed

BIT provides various chances for placement in different types of companies majorly in India. Different types of companies come to our university in order to find good and intelligent employees for their companyies. Students are eligible for campus placement in the 3rd or 4th year of their courses. Companies such as cipla, microsoft, wipro come for placements of students. Highest average package is 5100000 per annum and lowest package is 500000 per annum.

Professors are well educated and their teaching method is adaptable and nice.
The curriculum is comprehensive and covers various fields required.
The environment of the college is quite good and the infrastructure is also nice.

Dislikes

Placement is not upto par, could be better.
Throughout my term there was ongoing construction.
The canteen was not satisfactory, could've been better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was relevant, but not enough for real world application, the teachers were helpful to provide extra knowledge but sticking to the curriculum won't wont be enough. The exams are very hard and there are quizzes and presentation which makes up the internal marks

Infrastructure is very good and newly constructed buildings are fine.
Campus life is good and very academacally very sound.

Dislikes

Very hot temperature in the college ac is also not available in classrooms

I was phd student so for me the pre thesis was the final call where i could think of joining some college or persue my career further in the research direction. However the placement is very good here.

Except few professors every professors are there for students for there all round development.They not only teach us about the syllabus but also teach how to be market fit in upcoming ai driven community.
You get decent number of clubs for student like dance club , music club,drama club ,sports clubs and different societies where you can explore yourself.
Here seniors are also very cooperative they use to help us in whatever way it is required.

Dislikes

In campus mostly old fashioned method is used for teaching like they still use chalk and duster for teaching.There are only few classrooms with fully equipped AC.
There too strict rules for the first year student in hostels . They are not permitted to be outside the hostel the hostel premises.
There are less sports facilities inside the college as there is only one ground in which you can play football and cricket

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

BIT Mesra is Brilliant!!

BIT Mesra is a huge campus which is spread in nearly 100 acres of land.
We have over 10 types of engineering and 10 other courses and each department has their own fests.
Students safety is first priority here and therefore our college has almost 100 guards including hostels.

Dislikes

Placements are still not that great as our college is Birlas group least ranked College.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.

Review of bit noida campus

Likes

Teacher were very supportive. Specifically exam coordinator sanjay sir was very understanding.
Companies were coming for the placement in the placement season.
There were also many functions celebrated.

Placement Experience:

There were 8 students were placed through campus placement out of 40 students. But that not college fault it's totally upto you . Companies were comming you have to pass the asssment and clear the interview.

The college enviroment is so good all the way green and green.
The cicricukum is also so good for the students who want to study further
Annual cultural fest was nice. It was for 4 days.

Dislikes

1st year so hactic for 1st year students. Its so annoying
The technical fest is very poor you can say a shit
The night life is also not so good across the campus

The campus placements re not so preety good enough. There are placements but not for the higher salaries, a common base salaries placements are there There many big companies that visit the college premises.

Likes

It has a very good climate and scenery . It is a lush green campus .
The academics here are very strict with proper examinations and no delays
All the labs are very well equipped . With proper instruments .

Dislikes

The batch strength of my branch should have been bigger .
College does not have so many grand events .
The location from main town is quite far .
