Life at BIT Mesra

There is many diversities in the courses present in the university. Students have to take their courses according to there percentile in JEE and NEET ( for BTech biotechnology and b pharma). There extra curriculum activities also like pt and games, ncc etc.

We can apply to many companies for internship by the reference of our university. Our university also provides summer and winter internships to the students and also to the students of other known colleges. Different types of projects are also given by the professors and faculty members in the college. Since I am in the 2nd year, I haven't done any internship yet

BIT provides various chances for placement in different types of companies majorly in India. Different types of companies come to our university in order to find good and intelligent employees for their companyies. Students are eligible for campus placement in the 3rd or 4th year of their courses. Companies such as cipla, microsoft, wipro come for placements of students. Highest average package is 5100000 per annum and lowest package is 500000 per annum.

At the time of admission, we have to give ?291000 including admission charges, tution fees, technical fees, etc. this fee is for the 1st semester. After this the fee keeps on increasing every semester for about 5-10%. So, approximately total fees given to the administration is ?20,00,000. Fir hostel fees, ?20,000 is submitted for 1st semester; ?20,000 for 2nd semester; ?22,000 for 3rd and 4th semester; ?24,000 for 5th and 6th semester and ?26,000 for 7th and 8th semester. For mess fee we have to summit approximately ?30,000 every semester to the BIT Welfare Society. About scholarship:-90% scholarship is provided only to the students who have mare than 90 percentile in JEE . And 50% scholarship is provided to the children of staffs of BIT

Different types of technical fests are organized in BIT, for example pantheon, bitotsav, acheotsav , deepotsav etc. approximatelly more than 10000 books are available in the library for use of students and facilities. More than 50 classrooms with cctv cameras and ACs. Different types of sports are played by the students of BIT, for example- football, badminton, cricket, gymnastics, volleyball, weight lifting, running marathon etc. These are all provided in the sports complex of BIT MESRA. Social clubs are also there for students to take part, for example - biots club, aveon racing club, srijan club, 180 dc etc.

Our hostel consists of 400-500 small rooms which is shared by two students. There are two small sized beds, one chair, recks, one table and a fan. There is hardly any powercuts in the hostels. Wifi is provided everytime. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner is provided to the students in the message which is present in the hostel only. An office is there after entering the hostel where all the registration processes take place.

Since I prepared for NEET , my scores were not enough to take admission in any government medical College or in private medical colleges with scholarship. My score was not good enough to take admission in those. Therefore I chose Biotechnology in BIT Mesra

Approximately 2000 students study in BIT and approximately 200 faculties are there . So students is to faculty ratio is 10:1. Although faculties are very less in number then also they are able to manage to take classes and clear all the doubts asked by the students

There are gym in every girls hostel and for boys gym is at sports complex. Cafeterias are present at different places like behind the the main building their is shopping complex which is called the IC arena pr inner campus arena. One of the cafeteria is far from the main building i.e. known as techno which is close to the sports complex.100 metres from techno there is another hangout spot for students known as down south and also a juice shop is present there. Roads are also constructed well and are very clean where students can go for morning and evening walks.
