I feel so proud to be here and the faculty are just superb and awesome.
Thd placement in my college is pretty good in my branch the average package is ruppees 2500000 per annum many of big companies like microsoft, atlasian, amazon, google, wipro etc visits here for giving good placements
Even if bit mesra is a gift but still the fee structure is slightly more than other gifts on the other hand category scholarship, state scholarships and merit cum scholarships are also there for good and bright students.

Dislikes

Hostel facility is very bad they are very rude they don't listen to anyone else.
The mess fees quality is very bad and students prefer to eat outside
Some faculty members are very educated and experienced but some of them have absolutely no knowledge they have just got the degree are just there to disturb students.

BITS Mesra is Beautiful!!

Likes

The most scenic campuses and can even be compared to the likes of IIT Kharagpur and others.
Teaching is next level as i don't think that there can be any better than this.
So, many hostels and mess options that you are indeed spoiled that which to choose from.

Dislikes

Such a strict attendance policy that if by chance you have less than 75% attendance means you are not sitting for internals no matter what.
The fees is also on high side and that's a small drawback too.

From IPCA Labs, to many chemical engineering companies like Kanoria Chemicals and others. All these are few names as from companies dealing in labs or remedies are hiring chemical engineering students from our college and offers us well above 50k in hand every month.

Faculties are experience as well as supportive which provide us in-depth course knowledge
Greenery and peaceful campus life. The infrastructure of BIT is great.
The hostel and mess facilities is impressive compared to other colleges.

Dislikes

The placement is negligible, however one can got placed in different industries but ROI is too less.
The campus is located outside the city due to which connectivity to the campus is at lower side.
The internship opportunities are less. Industry interaction is at lower side for b.pharm students.

Placement Experience:

Placements of BIT,Mesra is great. But for non-engineering branches there is less opportunity. For our course the placement from college is almost negligible. However faculties helps us to get placed or even in this field getting job is easy but after b.pharm one can get approx 3 to 3.5 lpa most of the time. Many of the students opt for M.Pharm by qualifying GPAT. Many of us prepare for competitive exams like CAT,XAT etc. After B.Pharm master's degree is must for good career growth.

my first year experience at bit mesra

the campus is really nice. in the monsoon season it becomes green and refreshing. i also liked the weather here its really good throught the year.
the senior junior relation is great. havent seen any case of ragging here and the seniors are really nice to talk to and they are often very helpful.
the infrastructure and facalities are pretty good for academics.

Dislikes

the hostels and the mess food are not so much likeable. in the first year, you will get hostel 1 to 4. they are located right in front of the main building. the rooms are very small and you will have to share it with another person.
they offer very little in sports. there are grounds available to play but unlike iits and nits they offer very little support. if you are a cricket fan you will be really disaapointed to see the state of the cricket ground. the football ground great.
the official procees is worse than government procees. you will really find it hard to get something done here, if you need any document or something, then you better have some real patience.

Placement Experience:

the best part about this college are its placements. the average package is around 12lpa and for cse it is 20lpa and for ece it is 17lpa. then it falls down to 12lpa for eee and mnc. the rest of the branches have average package in range of 7 to 11 lpa qwith civil having the lowest and mechanical having the highest with 11lpa. the highest package this year was 60 lpa. almost 70 to 80 percent of the students get placed.

BIT Mesra Review in a nutshell

Likes

I liked about the campus being good enough Big with facilities more which can cater for required for activity.
Campus Life is good on a scale of 5 it's a 3 if you are open to participate in each every activity then there is more than what required.
Clubs for each Sector is present which helps in stress relieving for many and also many events are organized by them.

Dislikes

The Campus being large but lacks the basic lighting in some area being very dark at night.
The Administration of College is not competent enough as they are not able to take right decisions which are required for the overall development of College in the modern time.
One reason which I don't like is the declining rank acceptance of the College through JEE MAINS due to which low quality students also are seen taking admission in comparatively Good branches.

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6th sem students are eligible for placements. All major tech giants you name it like Google, Microsoft,Walmart,Atlassian,Flipkart,Visa,Texas Instruments,Arcesium,Salesforce..... etc do visit the campus for the placement and around there are around 250+ companies visiting. Highest offered was around 51 lakhs and average for CSE is around 21Lakhs. Percentage of students placed is close to 90%.

My review of BIT Mesra

Likes

The Large campus size leaves the student wih much to explore
5 day work week allows the students to explore their talents.
The regular Dj nights and events offer a source of entertainment

Dislikes

Hostel rooms are way too small for 2 students
The overall fee for the college is quite large
The college is far from the main Ranchi city.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had an interest in chemistry for a long time then I got to know about chemical engineering which is just about scaling up the reactions to meet the industry requirements which fascinated me. A couple of my cousins did their chemical engineering from this institute and are doing good in the field. Hence I chose this field of engineering.

A good career Choice

I liked the infrastructure of this college. The building is built in a symmetric manner . All the hostels are maintained in a symmetry
The faculty and staff are good with students. Grading is linient and the curriculum is updated every 6 months
The security of girls is good and women . Renovavtion empowers women here.

Dislikes

Sometimes the staff is not good. The ERP office staff is not friendly
Mess food is not good. It's about all colleges but true
Hostels aren't maintained well. Water supply and electricity problem arises

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very impressive. It gets updated every six months. I liked it well when I started studying it. If introduced you to the real world problems too. And teachers have a very unique way to teach and give practical experiences to students also

An overview of bit mesra

Likes

There are some new rooms build in two hostels they are good
Infrastructure of college is well maintained and campus is huge
Sports facilities are also well maintained in college

Dislikes

There is strict attendance policy means you have to maintain 75% attendance
Mess food is also not good and some hostels are also not maintained
Course curriculum is rigorous so you have to study hard

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements .Various companies visited for various profiles like software and consulting ,for core like GET.The highest package offered was 51lpa and average package 11.57 lpa.more than 70% students get placed

BIT MESRA- A Myth or Legend

I loved the lush green campus of my college which takes me very close to nature.
nice infrastructure and high quality computers installed in the RnD cell. Super computers also present
Campus life is good, night canteens available

Dislikes

Girls to boys ratio is very less which is not good for this type of premium institute
course curriculum is very hard and to pass sem exams in this college needs proper studying and don't depend on last night studies
Placement situation is not good and they need to improve or else the college will see its massive downfall

Placement Experience:

Students Become eligible after the 6th sem for campus placements. There are may companies that visit our campus including Microsoft, Google, Apple, Amazon, Walmart, Salesforce, Deloitte, etc Highest Package is 50LPA (Microsoft) which is on campus and off campus is 1 Crore PA from Atlassian. Avg package is 15 LPA. Approx 90% cse students get placed and among other students the ratio falls to 70%. My plan is to work in a big MNC and make my parents proud

The campus is very lively and clean. The greenery here provides a peaceful atmosphere to study.
The senior to junior interaction is good here
They are not so strict about attendance.

Here the girls to boys ratio is very less

The course curriculum is very updated and accurate according to our course content and it regularly updates according to the needs. As my course is Mathematics and Computing, in the first semester we aced our skills in calculus and matrices etc.

AN OVERVIEW OF BIT MESRA RANCHI

Likes

Great atmosphere and fresh air with lush greenery. Campus is full of greenery.
Separate buildings for different purpose and responsive faculties
Good availablity of all requirements in the canteen .

Dislikes

Rooms are of small size and have no option of single accomodation
There is no strictness about evening timing to remain in hostels.
More than 50 percent students are of home state ... This percentage should be less ... Reservation for home state students should be less

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for the internship and from 7th onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. College have good placement statistics in CSE branch for last two years where average package is about 18 lpa. Almost all companies visit the college for campus placements and last year highest package is 57lpa in CSE branch. Some seniors are saying that this year average package of CSE will be about 24 lpa Which seems quite good.
