Likes
- The most scenic campuses and can even be compared to the likes of IIT Kharagpur and others.
- Teaching is next level as i don't think that there can be any better than this.
- So, many hostels and mess options that you are indeed spoiled that which to choose from.
Dislikes
- Such a strict attendance policy that if by chance you have less than 75% attendance means you are not sitting for internals no matter what.
- The fees is also on high side and that's a small drawback too.
Course Curriculum Overview
Chemical engineering as my father is a laboratrian and therefore it was his wish. However, i am done with my first semester and I am happy with my course. 1st semester was common but come the second semester and we start getting to learn about chemical and how it can be used with utmost beneficiary.
Placement Experience
From IPCA Labs, to many chemical engineering companies like Kanoria Chemicals and others. All these are few names as from companies dealing in labs or remedies are hiring chemical engineering students from our college and offers us well above 50k in hand every month.
Fees and Financial Aid
BIT Mesra has a fees which is slightly or rather high as it's between 4-5 lakhs a year. Also, if I include and hostel and mess fees, it comes down to close to 8 lakhs a year. So, ya in this regard college lacks a bit but in my eyes, it's still a value pick.
Campus Life
Bitotsav and many festivals are the fests celebrated at our very own campus. Many top celebrities of our country have come and performed at our college. Also, our campus is one of the biggest in Jharkhand as it is close to 800 acres. We have beautiful blocks and nearly 12 hostels inside our very own campus making it feasible for students to save our time and energy.
Hostel Facilities
There are four hostels, and first year hostels are right next to the centre gate. In first year it's three seater rooms and then from second year onwards we will be transferred to two seater rooms. The mess are also plenty and we have options to choose from which one to eat.
Admission
BITS Pilani would have been the one where I wish I could have got but then it was a tie-up between BITS Goa and BITS Mesra and because Mesra is a pedigree known from long, I have chosen this college over any other.
Faculty
If one thing that has made sure that BIT Misra is always right up competing with country's top colleges and making this students favourite it is the faculties of BIT Mera. I am in love with their teaching style and also the way they tackle every tough situation as they have taught us how to duck such things.
Night Life
Prasthu Valley is close to our campus as it is just 40 kilometres from our campus. Also, lake view is right in front of our college. Cafes, Pizaa Huts and Bars are also available at very mini distance from our college.
