BIT Mesra provides strong placement and internship opportunities, especially for CSE/IT students. Eligible from the 6th or 7th semester, students benefit from over 120 recruiters like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon, offering 746 job offers. Packages can reach up to 64 LPA, with an average ranging from 12 to 20 LPA depending on the department. About 90-95% of CSE/IT students secure placements, and many also receive pre-placement offers through internships. Internships start as early as the 4th semester with companies like TATA Steel and Infosys, though only about one-third of CSE/IT students secure these roles.
International internships are available with partial college funding. The four-year BTech program costs between 14 to 16 lakhs, including hostel and mess charges, with an annual increase of 1 to 1.2 lakhs. Scholarships, such as the GP Birla Scholarship, offer tuition waivers from 25% to 100% based on JEE ranks and academic performance. Maintaining a high CGPA can earn additional scholarships. Despite high fees, the program offers a strong return on investment for CSE/IT students, with external scholarships and student loans also available.
