Remarks

Through jee main exam. The cuttoff for general category for core branches are 20k almost It was through josaa counselling on the basis of jee mains marks. For general category no reservation. No admission process is good....

I choose this course bcoz of the placement and coding environment of the college. Faculty student ratio is good enough teachers are there. Exam are taken in good level it was tough to score well.

Students become eligible to sit on the campus from the 7th semester. Students get internships from as early as fourth sem. 120+ recruiters with 746 job offers are there in the placement season. Companies like DShaw, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, Amazon Flipkart come to select students in campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are moderated by the admission department and a general pattern suggests that the fee increases 1 lakh(for four years) in a year. It costs approximately 15 lakhs for btech in 2021 batch. G.P. birla scholorship for students who perform well.

Campus Life

Bitotsav and pantheon are the biggest events in the college. All course books are available in library plus a lot more. Classes have very comfy seats with good ambience and centralized AC. Sports complex is huge and provides all ammenties. All possible clubs are present at college.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is good and well planned albiet the big campus makes them away from Main building. All hostels have common rooms and and all are renovated.meal is average and good compared to other colleges. Hostel registrations are done when you come here. Rooms are abundant and PG is not required.

Hostel Fee: INR 210000 per year

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

Placement Experience:

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.

LIFE IN NIT JAMSHEDPUR

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because this was the branch I was getting through my JEE score. Faculty student ratio is 3:100. All the professors here are highly qualified and had phd from top colleges of the worl. There research has been published by many publications ,many of them had written books and got published . there researchs are famous world wide . The teaching method of professor is very good they explain the topics upto which it is necessary to be known. Exams here are held timely ,2 semesters per year and the level of question paper is moderate.

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra.
