BIT Mesra

The admission is through JEE Mains Rank. The application form for JEE Mains can be found on the official website. For general candidates price of the form is 625/- and for ST/SC is 325/-. For reserved candidates, the cutoff is surely low compared to unreserved candidates.

The placement for cse/it branch in BIT Mesra is very good the reason to choose these branches. Btech IT in BIT Mesra surely is a very good branch. The faculty is good too surely not as good as IIT but yeah better than most colleges. The exams for our semester were quizzes and end sem some exams were easy but some were challenging too

In 2nd year during the summer breaks, you can get on campus internship. In 1st year you can try to get internship but you have to get it from off campus though. BIT also has scheme to send students who have qualified to international internship too with half of the cost covered by college.

Campus placement in BIT Mesra for the circuital branch is surely better than most of the colleges, although companies do come for non circuital, I would suggest to go for circuital branch in BIT Mesra. The averagae package of IT branch was around 18-19 lakh.

Total fees of BTech in BIT Mesra is around 14 lakh. You do get a scholarship on the basis of GPA you get, GP Birla Scholarship. You can also opt for external scholarships. There are on-campus internships with a pretty good amount of stipend too.

BIT Mesra conducts one of the largest annual fests known as 'Bitotsav'. The fest is fully organized and controlled by student body. There are many tech fest, hackathon etc conducted by the tech clubs like IET,IEEE etc. Library is decent with most of the textbooks available with help books, magazines,journals. You get to use full sports complex with gym,badminton court, track etc. There are many clubs run by student body like IET, Rotaract etc there are more groups of students for various purposes just not official though.

For 1st year students, there is double sharing but for 2021 batch we got our own single rooms with some double and triple sharing. The food provided by the mess menu is decided by students sometimes the mess staff changes the routine. Just expect mediocre and you will be satisfied( more like you have to). We just had to report to allocated hostels and there we were assigned the room numbers.
