All about Jipmer campus

Likes

The thing that I liked about Jipmer is spandan. We get chance to participate in many games and competition.
Gym is available for girls and boys seperately.and it's free.
Swimming pool is provided with privacy in Jipmer.

Dislikes

There is curfew time in the hostel.And sometimes it's very difficult to make it to the hostel at time.
There is no place to sit in the campus with friends like cement benches and open areas or cafes
Jimper Ghandhi park timing is very short

Course Curriculum Overview:

-Fee structure for bsc nursing is very less in JIPMER as compared to other colleges. -JIPMER ensures each students get well clinical experience. -Bsc nursing is a four year course which include both theory and practicals. - Any student failed in University exam have to continue the same subject that year - Timing for exam is crucial.Exam level is not difficult. But writing the points and ideas within the alloted time makes the examinations a bit difficult.

Spandan which held yearly is the most beautiful event that we can get in jipmer
Freee gym is available in jimper for girls and boys seperatly
You can join many sports activities such as football,throw ball,tennis as per your whish

Dislikes

Here in jipmer there is curriculum year back which is not a good system.it will cause some students to loss their one year
There is a curfew in nightingale hostale at night
There is time limit for garden in jipmer

We have free gymnastics,park ,big ground,indoor stadium
A calm and cool library , big campus, spandan
Inter college fest, onam celebration, lamp lightning

Dislikes

Curfew at hostel and bathrooms are not neat
We have yearback system here not supplementary
No good food at mess we have to eat what they provide

Course Curriculum Overview:

Nursing curriculum is made by JIPMER it self as it is a autonomous university. Here we follow annual system not the semester system. We have four main exams. We need 80 percentage attendance to qualify. Lack of attendance or score less than 50 percentage causes year back. We have both theories and practical hours based on subjects.

Security and safety, you will get more consideration
Affordable fee,availability of library,clinical experience has huge implicat on developing skills

Dislikes

Academic pressure is high.U have to deal it with.
You can't take too many leaves, if there is any attendance shortage u can't write university exam
Year back system,even if u failed in onky ine sub,u can't enter in to next year.

Duration:4 year and. 1 month vacation in each year after university exam. Class room teaching and clinical experience . Exams: 3 internal assessments exams,1 model exam and University. Theory need 75% attendance. Clinical need 100%,if you are taking leave in Clinicals then u should compensate it during vacation

JIPMER, the college of high standards.

Likes

Jipmer being a central Institute, students will be getting more chance to attend national Conference s.
Compund of the campus is very clean and maintained properly.
Jipmer is charging only very low academic fee as well as hostel fee which is students friendly.

Dislikes

College doesn't have a proper mess that is accessible to all students.
functions and celebration are less in comparison to other colleges
Nursing hostel is having a curfew of 10 'o'clock but not in other hostels.

Jipmer my final destination

Likes

Many facilities like swimming pool ,gym and playgroud are there
Well clinical exposure,so much facilities are available
Well develloped cafeteria is available in jipmer

Dislikes

Programmes are very much less in number so try to improve
There is no adequate time to conduct programme
Admission procedures takes a long time to proceed

-nursing is a noble profession and we can learn much about the human anatomy and very much it has high job scope compared to other -it helps us to make decisions clearly and provide critical thinking ability -some for interactive teaching is required -exam is conducted yearly and moderate level

Likes

High exposure to various medical specialities.
College with friendly faculties in all aspects.
A curriculum that have more practical hours.

Dislikes

Vacation period is very short in comparison to other colleges.
Celebrations and functions are very less.
An accessible mess is not available for all category of students.

Likes

Good campus with all the facilities like sports
Good teaching provided by well qualified teachers
Along with teaching we can gain good clinical knowledge

Dislikes

Semester system should be valid for nursing not annual
Language problem is here for North Indian students
Nonveg is more than veg so for vegetarian they have lot of struggle

Teaching methods and facilities, teachers are highly qualified even they are the best faculties India ever have.
Campus infrastructure is so good and secure environment.
Future options and abroad opportunities are there .

Food problems is there , food options are very less
Language issue is there , problems we faced during conversation with local peoples
Very hectic study schedule and posting so much work load is there

During clinical setup we can gain alot knowledge
Faculty is supporting during the tough times

Dislikes

Semester system should be implemented in the institute
Year back for the students who are having backlogs
Prolonged clinical hours where it is sometimes difficult for the students during there exams

Like any other institution, JIPMER will offer you some of the best and worst days of your life.

Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.

In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. You may work in the surgical emergency department.You’ll witness many births and deaths.

JIPMER lets you explore your field of interest. Whichever department you are interested in, you can volunteer for the same. You can volunteer in every department if you like, no one will stop you.

I secured 548 marks(GEN) in neet 2022 and I want to pursue Bsc Nursing. Which college should i choose from JIPMER,LHMC,RAKCON? I want to work abroad after my nursing degree. I am from Maharashtra. Please help me regarding these. I am very confused what college to choose as I am eligible for all the colleges.

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges.
