JIPMER released the counselling registration dates along with prospectus for admission to BSc courses. The online registration for counselling started from 3 October 2024. Students can register for the counselling by 24 October 2024.
JIPMER 2024 has been replaced by NEET. NEET UG 2024 exam will be held on May 5. Registrations for the same have been concluded on March 9, 2024. Further, the result will be declared on Jun 14, 2024. Candidates willing to take admission in the UG program offered by the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research, Puducherry, can appear for NEET 2024.
Candidates fulfilling the desired course eligibility requirements can only fill out the application form. The application can be filled out online. Candidates applying for the MBBS course need to fill out the NEET-UG application form before deadline.
The 66 months long MBBS course by JIPMER is divided into phases. Each of the phase include a set of subjects, which have to be studied during the course. The pre-clinical subjects covered in the phase-I of MBBS course at JIPMER are: Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Introduction to Humanities and Community Medicine.

Details on JIPMER 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should know the basic eligibility criteria for JIPMER 2024 Exam before appearing for the final exam. Eligibility criteria are set by the university based on some facts that are mentioned below.
- Citizenship of the candidate must be Indian or should be non-resident Indian
- An applicant with foreign nationality will have to take the prior permission from the Medical Council of India
- Age of the candidate must be 17 years on or before 31st December, 2024 or born on or before 1st January in the year 2003.
- There will not be given any relaxation in the category of a candidate
- The candidate should be secured a minimum 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, English Language is compulsory.
- Minimum marks in 10+2 for reserved candidates like SC/ST/OBC will be 40% in aggregate
- Minimum marks for general OPH candidates will be 45% in aggregate.
- A candidate who has appeared or going to appear in the final examination or an applicant whose result is pending is eligible to apply for the JIPMER 2024 Exam

The applicant will get JIPMER 2024 Application Form through online mode. The application process will be completed by following the below-mentioned steps.

- Click on the examination link
- Click on the registration form
- Enter a valid email ID and a mobile number for registration
- Check and click on the login link sent by the authority
- Enter user ID and Password to log in
- After login fill up the application form with all the required details

JIPMER MBBS was conducted for admission in the MBBS and BDS programs. However, the entrance examination has been replaced by NEET UG.
You cannot register for JIPMER MBBS now as the examination has been replaced by NEET UG. NTA is yet to release the registration notice for NEET 2023 but it is expected to begin in February 2023.
