Course Curriculum Overview

Nursing curriculum is made by JIPMER it self as it is a autonomous university. Here we follow annual system not the semester system. We have four main exams. We need 80 percentage attendance to qualify. Lack of attendance or score less than 50 percentage causes year back. We have both theories and practical hours based on subjects.

Class Size: 94Course Fees: INR 11410 per year

Internships Opportunities

Here JIPMER it self provide internship opportunities for students after finishing their academics. It will be last for six months. We get a stipend for that but iam not aware of the amount. It is not mandatory

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fee is 11410 in 1st year and 4760 in following three years. There is no scholarship given by collage .but as a keralian I applied e grantz. Central government also provide one scholarship. Exam fee is 5000+ that we have to pay separately.

Campus Life

SPANDAN is the main festival in JIPMER. it is a intercollage fest. It will last for 7 days. Other than SPANDAN we have sports and all cultural competitions will be conducted between different courses and batches. We have a big library consisting of many medical books. We have many facilities like gym pool ground indoor stadium footsal ground etc

Hostel Facilities

We have a three people sharing bedrooms here. For single room we have to pay extra money. We will be provided with one coat one table one chair and one shelf. Room is good .bathrooms are not that much neat and clean . Hostel messes are available for 3000 per month. Hostel is opposite to collage for girls and small distance apart for boys

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

We need to write neet exam for admission. Then jipmer will publish admission notification on official site that time we have to apply by giving our details and neet score . After some time they publish rank list we can avail reservation benefits like obc sc etc . I Don't remember application fee I think it's about 700 rupees. Application date will be announced after NEET result. There is no special exam for JIPMER.

I also applied for ayurveda in kottakal arya vaidya sala and got a seat but I preferred studying in jipmer for a paramedical course rather than doing ayurveda. Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
