Jipmer: A dream college

-adequate number of practical and theory hours are alloted for each subject -100% clinical attendance is mandatory to pass the course -the teaching methods could be more innovative -internal exams from time to time and final exam at the end of academic year

-No campus placements are offered by the college, however internship opportunities are available after the completion of the course with a stipend of around Rs. 5000/- per month -the interns are expected to perform tasks similar to a staff

-The fees are fixed and do not hike -constant fees of Rs.11,000/- for the first year and Rs. 5000/- then onwards + exam fees+ hostel rent of Rs. 500/- per month -various central and state scholarships can be availed -no campus placements but internship opportunities available

-SPANDAN is the annual cultural fest - the central library has vast collection of books and is fully airconditioned -the class rooms are air-conditioned and are smart classrooms -provisions for all sports including football, cricket, tennis etc. -tech clubs, cultural clubs etc are run by students

-double sharing and single rooms are available -the meals and menu are of decent quality and various messes are present -the hostels are alloted at the time of admission -all hostels are located within the campus

- merit selection based on NEET score -all information will be available on www.jipmer.edu.in -OBC, SC,ST etc reservatoons can be availed -NEET exam is conducted once every year and has moderate difficulty -admission process can be made a bit easier

-sufficient number of faculty for the number of students -most of the faculty have post graduate or phD qualification and good experience -easy interaction most of the time and very approachable by the students
