Year back system is here.Even if u failed in one subject u have to continue with ur juniors
Taking leave is risky. If u have attendance shortage u will be detained

Duration of the course is four year It contains theory classes and clinical experience. Calss room theory need 75% attendance Clinics need 100%attendance One month vacation in each year after university examination

Internships Opportunities

For mbbs.allied health science course and BSc nursing have intership. Stipend is available. You can join as a contract employee in projects running by jipmer just after graduation. The chance of getting job is high

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fee for first is around 12000 per year. For second year it is around 6000 There are scholarships provided by college NSP. Scholarships provided by central government You can apply to various other scholarships too

Campus Life

Spandan is the annual festival held in jipmer. It occurs during in between August and September. It last for 7 to 8 days. Central library is available for 24/7 and college library available from 8 am to 7 pm.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel name is Nightingale House. It located exactly opposite of college of nursing. 12000 per year is the rent. One room is shared by 3 students. One chair.one bed.one table.one shelf is available. Common bathroom is available

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Plus two qualification Neet entrance examination There is no separate entrance examination If neet exam in May.application will be out in August. No application fee. Obc.sc.st.pwd.pusuvherry residents reservations are available

From second year onwards we are posted in our respective departments and classes are given by the professors and residents in the cardiology department

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
