Jipmer: A Dream College for Future Nurses

Likes

Less restrictive rules that gave freedom to the students to have flexible studying experience and vibing with friends.
Spandan cultural programs which changes the mood of all the faculties in the campus.
Faculties were supportive and encouraging. Taught us and gave experience at hospital as well as at community.

Dislikes

Waiting shed for patients were just average based on hygiene, water suppy and rest room facility.
No facilities for easy communucation and directions. To speak in mother tongue.. So it was a trouble for people from other states
Placement facilities weee good. But for admission they called people of very low score too... And it was a time wastage for them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum for my course is easy and understandable. I choose this course as i love to work as a nurse. Moreover, caring patients was one of my passion. The curriculum prepares us to face the real world by giving required number of posting exposures.

Spandan is the more likely good program in jipmer the park
The park is the most beautiful palce in jipmer
The campus is fully covered with trees for this hot climate

Dislikes

I don't like our college because there is no ac for first year students.
I don't like here because there is no mess facility
The other thibgs are there is no tour in our college

I choose bsc nursing couse because it is assuring students a good career and useful profession. It has a good curriculum with new rules and strict rules. The exams are conducted with strict rules and under cctv.

Likes

I liked the diversity in our class as we we got to mingle with people of various culture and languages
Being in Pondicherry, I began to study tamil language which indeed is a benefit
I used to start spending money carefully

Dislikes

I disliked the way patients are treated when exams were conducting in the wards
I disagree with the system of publishing results based on selected propaganda
Night life is not secure in Pondicherry as own many things as a union territory

Likes

Faculties are so cooperative and helpful .
Environment is so big and peaaceful for relaxation .
Extra co curricular activities are so entertaining .

Dislikes

Semester sytem which is to be followed strictly .
No stripent for students for clinical hours .
Vacation are so less and compensation to be done in the vacation.

Year wise system is conducted . More practical hours are provided to improve skills of students . For each subjects internal test will be conducted . Minimum 4 internals of put which best of three will be taken for university .

Campus life so good including peaceful campus
Good infrastructure and and provide one of the best degree in nation
Well qualified faculties and everyone is skilled

Dislikes

Campus including hospital near to academic building, so it feels so rush with people
Campus should have some more students friendly area, sitting arrangement etc
College not providing any placement options

Safety and security. They will consider students safety highlly
Eco friendly campus,green trees,huge campus
Affordable fee structures and library available

Dislikes

Academic stress is too high.You will eventually deal with it
Year back system, evem if u failed one sub,u will be year back
Attendance shortage will effect u,if u have attendance shortage they won't allow you to write university

Its not safe to travel alone at nightttt

Placement Experience:

Most of the students who studied in Jipmer is getting placement in Jipmer and other central government, state government hospitals and also in foreign countries. After the students passout college will held the placement but for that they have to attend and pass for the examination and interview that held the college

college provide great clinical experience starting from first year.faculties are well educated and well versed in English language .
campus provides a wide variety of opportunities for the students in terms of academics and co curricular activities.
infrastructure and facilities regarding the course is higly appreciated

Dislikes

the college does not host many cultural events.
the students staying in hostel are requested to enter the hostel before 10 pm.
the college does not provide stipend for the students during their clinical hours

Like any other institution, JIPMER will offer you some of the best and worst days of your life.

Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.

In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. You may work in the surgical emergency department.You’ll witness many births and deaths.

JIPMER lets you explore your field of interest. Whichever department you are interested in, you can volunteer for the same. You can volunteer in every department if you like, no one will stop you.

I secured 548 marks(GEN) in neet 2022 and I want to pursue Bsc Nursing. Which college should i choose from JIPMER,LHMC,RAKCON? I want to work abroad after my nursing degree. I am from Maharashtra. Please help me regarding these. I am very confused what college to choose as I am eligible for all the colleges.

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges.
