Likes

Less restrictive rules that gave freedom to the students to have flexible studying experience and vibing with friends.
Spandan cultural programs which changes the mood of all the faculties in the campus.
Faculties were supportive and encouraging. Taught us and gave experience at hospital as well as at community.

Dislikes

Waiting shed for patients were just average based on hygiene, water suppy and rest room facility.
No facilities for easy communucation and directions. To speak in mother tongue.. So it was a trouble for people from other states
Placement facilities weee good. But for admission they called people of very low score too... And it was a time wastage for them.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum for my course is easy and understandable. I choose this course as i love to work as a nurse. Moreover, caring patients was one of my passion. The curriculum prepares us to face the real world by giving required number of posting exposures.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

10000 rs for 1st year tuition fees. 4000 rs foe exam fees 12000for hostel fees 3000 rs for mess fees per month Scholarships are available for students for special categories and low family income. That was of a great help to many students.

Campus Life

We used to have spandan every year by the month of September. A cultural and sport event that extends for 7days... With sports and arts competition witg students from different colleges. Central library was of great help to many students. There were supply of many books.

Admission

The admission process in jipmer was smooth and in stepwise manner. -The eligibility of my course was to write the entrance exam for jipmer nursing. This exam had the standard level of difficulty. The cutoff for this exam is not clear. -There are also various levels of reservations available in the admission procedure. - The application process and its details are mentioned in the jipmer website. Moreover, the exam details and date were also mentioned in current newspapers, so it was easy for everyone to know and apply for this exam. - Areas of improvement that i would suggest is... 1. Waiting area foe parents. 2.easy online payment facility 3.refreshments for students during admission process, if the process extends too long. The college gives a fabulous experience for studying and vibing with friends. Less restrictive campus, co-curricular activities in campus and intercollege competitions are available which gives opportunities for many talented students. I would recommend this college

From second year onwards we are posted in our respective departments and classes are given by the professors and residents in the cardiology department

Jipmer is the second best medical college in India after aiims Delhi . The admission process here is quite different . JIPMER: Above and Beyond

I applied for AIIMS Delhi but I didn't get an admission because my AIR was 100. My second choice was JIPMER and I got into here. For admission into JIPMER, like any other medical college you are required to write the NEET UG exam and based upon your rank you can get admission into the college of your choice. For admission into AHS, you are again required to write the NEET UG exam. In NEET I got 404 and i applied in jipmer bsc counseling session which was via the official website. I got selected and my jipmer rank was 98. There was no separate jipmer exam as such but earlier it was there. Offline counseling session was there .
