- Our college has societies like none other and during fests over 100 of colleges are sent invitation to participate.
- All girls college and yet no toxicity is what makes JMC the most competent campus of DU.
- Infrastructure is amazing as it's small but because we are best located and plus access to everything from our campus is super easy.
Dislikes
- Very strict and infact safe to say that out of all the DU colleges our college is the most strictest of them all.
Course Curriculum Overview
English Hons is i feel a course which most should do to have the perfect command over the only global or universal language available. This was the main motive of me opting for this and I feel our course is perhaps as good as anything.
Internships Opportunities
Mostly in the first year it were the content companies which came for giving us Internships. So, how to write a proper content and all was the task during the internships and a small stipend of 8k was paid to me by the organization I worked for.
Placement Experience
Placements Cell is working very closely with industries and therefore the first learn their requirements and then they train us accordingly. So after a proper training in 2 years, we are made to sit for interviews in the 3rd year and thankfully around 80 odd percentage of girls form our college are placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
Jesus N Marry College of DU is unfortunately the second best girls college which is sad. In my eyes it's the best and one of the major reason is the fees that it commands. The fees of JMC for BA in English (Hons) is 25575 only. Scholarships and even no fees for EWC students and even Christian students get scholarships as it's a Christian society run college of DU.
Campus Life
Our campus is great and has three buildings which also includes The EVENET Hall Building which is extremely amazing and all our events and practices takes place there. Arts building is where our classes are held and it's the largest building of our campus. So, all in all its an amazing campus and also our fest MONTAGE is as amazing.
Admission
Girls college was definitely the priority and only two colleges for which I wanted to go. First was LSR and then JMC. The cut-off for LSR was 763 and for KMC it was 745. I had 756 and so I had to take admission here and CUET UG entrance is the only way of getting in JMC or any colleges of Delhi University.
Faculty
We have like only one batch unlike commerce courses of economic courses where there are over 200 students. For English (Hons) just 60+ students and best is over 10 faculties. Hende 1 for 6 and difficult to replicate this and their help is always immense. Their teaching is an explosion and best is there backgrounds as most are from DU.
Night Life
Since our college is in Central Delhi and there from ITC Maurya to Taj Delhi everything is in our vicinity. Cafes and Rajiv chowk metro station is also nearby. Also, CP of Delhi and PVR are also there which are close to our college. So from movies to cafes, everything is close to our campus.
