Remarks

If you have been allotted this college in your counseling, do no further. Freeze it, for I am sure that at your first visit you are going to fall in love with the atmosphere and serenity here.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The admission process is smooth and easy after allotment through wbjee counseling. The faculty members are very cooperative and helpful. Also, it is of utmost astonishment that a B.Tech course in computer science engineering is of mere fees of grand total Rupees Fifty Thousand only (excluding hostel charges). the college has a very calm and serene surrounding which makes it perfect for an ambitious student to study, and also prepare for future studies. Being situated amidst vast areas of greenery it also provides a nice opportunity to free the mind of pressure and worries. Most importantly, ragging is absolutely impossible as 1st-year students have a completely separate hostel building and college staff is present always in your requirements.

Placement Experience

2.5

Telling the truth, the placement is not up to the mark here and one must aim for off campusing if he/she aspires placement in a highly reputed company of handsome packages.

College Events

5

There are several extracurricular clubs in the college such as dance, music, astronomy, gaming, etc. One can join in any of the clubs and participate in the programs. And one doesn't need to reach far to get involved in cultural programs, as the college is situated in Bengal one can easily understand that festive mood are always appreciated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I am a Computer Science student and my admission fee was 5155. The wbjee counseling fee is 5000(gen). Which makes the total fee for 1st semester including the admission fee amounting to 10155 rupees only. I consider this to be extremely reasonable compared to any other college in India that provides similar services.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I had this college through wbjee counseling and did not require any educational loan. Being a government college I hope that availing an educational loan for this would be a smooth process.

Campus Life

4.5

Life here is calm and peaceful. The absolute manifestation of the utopian vision of a studious and ambitious student can be found here. As being a little interior, there is almost no sound except for birds and trees. (Yes, KGEC is full of greenery and birds).

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel fee per semester for 1st-year students is 9000. This includes two meals daily at the college dining. The hostel rooms are at par as to what average hostel conditions are expected to be. Each room has four beds, three tables, and a wall almirah. All rooms have windows and are airy. Rooms and corridors are cleaned regularly.

Alumni/Alumna

I am a new student here and already I have received very warm responses from my seniors. The seniors are very helpful and they themselves will take you to medical assistance if needed. (which I do not hope to experience)

Faculty

5

The faculty is very appreciative. All the members are very honest and friendly toward the students. Beddings and other necessary items are provided in the hostel. The seniors are very helpful to us, 1st-year students. I take it as an absolute win by opting this college.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
