Course Curriculum Overview

Market need is the main aspect that influenced me to choose this course. Since our college is autonomous our syllabus get updated whenever needed. As of now I haven't face any difficulty in understanding the classes. Class test happens after every 1.5 months And they are easy to pass

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fee of the college is ?54200 And it doesn't increase with time and after admission you have to buy dress after paying ?3500 . Swami Vivekananda scholarship is available in college which give you ?60000 per annum also you have toh pay ?10000 caution money while taking admission.

Campus Life

Their are many events that happens in our college like balaka ( freshers welcome) in November end and tech fest , hackathon and annual function also vastradaan before every diwali. Books are easy to access from the library whenever we want. Every classroom h smart board and projectors for the studies. Every year our college conducts annual sports which includes cricket, basketball, thug of war, badminton,etc Many clubs are in our college like riser club which conducts seminar with industrial people . Also we have start-up club which help us to work on our ideas and guides us.

Admission

I had applied for AOT college also but in counselling I got this college and it near to my house and also I choose this college because it have automobile engineering. Due to my bad rank I got rejected from AOT admission took only one day the day I went first in the college same day I completed my admission.

Faculty

For every 60 students their is 1 teacher and faculties are very helpful and they very easy to approach. AT sir because he guide us properly and help us to build good connection with industrial people. Their is not any any faculty whom I don't like. Their are 4 class test in which 2 are assignments and 2 are theory papers and their is one semester theory paper and since our college is autonomous it's easy to clear all exams.

Night Life

The college is college in night also you have to enter in the hostel before 9 PM and food will be given in the hostel and boys hostel is outside the college campus and girls hostel is inside the college campus

Placement are average like any other private colleges. Don't expect too much. Average package is like 5 lpa .But since it is in saltlake which is the it hub of North East we have plenty of options to apply for offcampus of no placement is given in college.

Placement Experience:

The college has a very professional Training and Placement committee. Companies like TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro visit the college for placement. My department (ECE) has an average of 7LPA. Last year the highest pakage was 85 LPA which was secured by one of our esteemed seniors in JP Morgan Chase. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon also visit our college for placements. The only disadvantage is maximum of these companies are visiting for mass recruit profiles. I plan to go for an MS in USA after securing my degree.

The college lowdown

Placement Experience:

From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc 70% plus gets placed every year. Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements. After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

Survival Guide of NIT Durgapur

Placement Experience:

Placements at NIT Durgapur are phenomenal. Students are eligible for placements from 6th semester onwards. Some of the visiting companies include Microsoft, Apple, and JPMC. They offer attractive packages to students, with the highest placement being 50 LPA. The average placement for all the students is around 11LPA. For branches like CSE, ECE and EEE, the average is consistently above 16-17 LPA. The placement percentage is around 80% for CSE students. My plans after getting the degree will be to work in the industry for 1-2 years and then proceed to higher studies abroad.

From Classrooms to Careers

Placement Experience:

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for campus placements. There have been quite a few companies that have visited the campus like Nutanix, Accenture, Deloitte, EY GDS, IBM, etc. Variable packages ranging from 4-11lpa have been offered. Till now the percentage of students getting placements is relatively low.

MCKVIE, a good college for its price

I applied for admission in many colleges like Siliguri Institute of technology, Heritage Institute of technology, Techno Main Salt Lake, Calcutta Institute of Engineering and management. (Through management quota) From the above, I got a confirmed admission in CIEM(Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management) but i later opted for WBJEE Counseling to try my luck there. I put many colleges in My WBJEE preference list. It's very fortunate that I found out about MCKVIE at the last moment as it was a very good college considering its low price. From the colleges that i opted for both in counseling and management quota... most colleges were too expensive for me, or i was not able to get the desired course. MCKVIE was very suitable as I got CSE with a semester-wise tuition fees of around 55k. The admission process of my college was fairly systematic, I got Core CSE through WBJEE Counseling and got my seat throught WBJEE+JEE Rank. Overall admission experience was a bit lengthy process because it involved the Counseling procedures, but it was smooth and the officials were helpful and well prepared for all kinds of inconveniences...Read More
