Likes

Campus Infrastructure is pretty good and clean.
Classes and labs with proper functioning air conditioners and the whole building has a centralised air conditioning
There are a lot of options for different kinds of street foods to eat outside the college

Dislikes

Campus is somewhat small in comparison to some other private colleges
College management is not as good as they sometimes delay our semester results and also our semester exams
Faculties are average with average placements

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is updated and latest according to the current standards. But the only problem is with the programming language being taught . They are still teaching us C language which has no relevance in this era

Internships Opportunities

College has partnered with various tech companies like ibm , Google and TCS and so on to provide exposure to students through internships in this company. But at last it is in the hands of the student to acquire those internships with their skills.

Placement Experience

Placement are average like any other private colleges. Don't expect too much. Average package is like 5 lpa .But since it is in saltlake which is the it hub of North East we have plenty of options to apply for offcampus of no placement is given in college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total yearly fees of the college for my branch which is btech computer science is 158000/- per year or 79000/- per semester with an additional fee of rs.2000 per semester as examination fee.Students belonging to West Bengal can get scholarship based on domicile certificate of the state.

Campus Life

The college organizes a freshers event for new students which is called enthusia. They also organise various other fests throughout the year . They have clubs too named vivarta and takshilla and so on

Admission

I choose this college because it's in Kolkata which is near my hometown Patna and also because I have relatives here. Another reason is because it's one of the famous private colleges of Kolkata and it's affordable.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 50:1. Faculties are well qualified with some of them being alumni of deemed universities themselves. My course is divided into 8 semesters with each semester having 2 internals and one final semester exams along with practical exams.

Night Life

As it is in Kolkata nightlife is chill as it is a metropolitan city so no problem even for girls in roaming around at nightime . Also there are lot of cafetarias and cinema halls around college to explore.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
