The college lowdown

The ever so changing technologies inspired me to take this course. The curriculum not only gives us theory and practical but also does specialized project based training to teach us for the real world problems and also gives a special care to soft skills and trains us for professional work live and interview preparation. There are very few smart classes which creates time clashes in different sections so a few more smart classes with better technology would help. The Subjects are very interesting and can be challenging. As the syllabus is also new so not much material is available so have to follow a disciplined study routine.

From 6th and 7th Semester students get eligible for campus placements. The companies that visit are TCS,. Cognizant, Dell, intel, Amazon, Microsoft, McAfee, Hp etc 70% plus gets placed every year. Students must maintain a cgpa above 7 to be eligible for campus placements. After getting a degree I want to develop my career as a software engineer and product manager.

Admission- Form Price= 4,500.00rs, Admission + 1st Semester fees = 85,000.00rs, Uniform price= 9,400.00rs. 2nd Semester- 75,000.00rs 2nd year- 65,000.00rs each in 3rd and 4th semester. 3rd year- 66,000.00rs each in 5th and 6th Semester. 4th year- 64,000.00rs each in 7th and 8th Semester. No detailed Money receipt is given just the total amount is written in a digital bill with a college stamp after every semester payment. No Cheque or cash is accepted. You can pay by UPI RTGS or Demand draft. Exam fees- 1,200rs per semester to be paid in university portal. Backlog exam fees- 1,000rs per year to be paid in university portal. Semester fees to be paid in advance. The payment of next semester must be done before the exam form fillup for the current semester else college won't issue exam form.

The College fests are usually held in around March and April. It's mostly a 7 day event including sports, Tech fest like hackathon, coding contest, Robot making contest. Treasure hunt, Cosplay, Singing and dancing competition and on the final day atleast 2 artists are invited to perform in a outside venue Like this year in Sitara 2k24 Ash King came to perform and it was held in Lemontree resort Siliguri. Each semester has atleast one specialized project based training. The campus had a gym, Basketball court, table tennis, 2 badminton courts, vollyball court, Cricket ground, Yoga center with equipments. The college also arranges for special Self defence course for female staff and students. The College encourages clubs and students can form any clubs they want with a professors mentorship We currently have a coding club and professional photography club.

This is one of the very few colleges in West bengal that provides Campus placements with very high paying jobs. Has a clean environment. Ragging free. Has good transportation. I joined this college through all india counselling josaa There is no special requirement or admission tests or cut offs. One can get admission with just appearing in JEE MAINS or WBJEE.

The professors are very approachable and friendly and encouraging in every aspect. Even the principal Sir is very friendly and encouraging us to join more events. The college follows course curriculum of MAKAUT University and with the starting of every semester a detailed course curriculum is given to the students by the subject professors. Books for every semester is given from the library which is returned later at the end of the semester. And can also get extra books from the library. Students must maintain 75 percent attandance. Every semester a PTM is conducted. Each semester has 4 continuous assessments respectively in order - PPT presentation, report writing, written test, CBT all worth 25 marks each. The exams are strictly monitored by invigilators and strict cctv monitoring.

The libraries gym cafeteria all close by 5 pm. The surrounding area has great cafe's and restuarants with affordable prices and good food. There is a wooden arch bridge inside the college on top of the small stream from there one can see small fishes swimming in the river. There are also benches around the stream which makes a great Hangout place. The cafeterias have the great view of the tea garden and sukna forest if the weather is clear the mountains are clearly visible. In winters the whole campus get s covered in fog which makes it look etherial. The whole area is very safe and can be stayed out till late the people are very friendly.
