Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management (SIEM) was started in the year of 2009 under the management of charitable society Bidya Bharti Foundation. The main objective of the institute is to provide world class infrastructure and quality education to the North Bengal and its adjoining areas. It provides comprehensive learning opportunity through experiential methods to the students.

The SIEM offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in 5 streams which are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated by the West Bengal University of Technology. The students can take the admission on the basis of the WBJEEM exam. It also offers placement opportunities to its students and in the year of 2015, 17 companies visited for placement.

After my 12th board exam, I studied for jee intern exam, then after my form fillup, I took the exam and got a rank to secure a seat at this college. To get the details of the application form, fees you have to visit their official website for all details. And one more thing yes in our college there were reservation benefits.

I was admitted to this college through online counseling and the teachers were so good they help me a lot with counseling. I have also applied for another college but before I admission to this college I check all the details of this college and I realized that in this college CIVIL ENGINEERING is one of the best courses. Now I am passing out in 2021 and the truth is civil is actually good at this college. All experimental equipment is available here.

The life at SIEM

Admission:

the prior reason for attending this college was the proximity to my hometown. The other reason to chose this college was the availability of the course of my choice i.e. mechanical engineering which was not available at the other engineering colleges in Siliguri. The admission process is flexible i.e. you can either take direct, lateral admission or get into the college through any competitive examinations. Admission:

Overall it was a good college because its ethics were strong they had good faculties as well and a few teachers was very friendly towards students sports sections use to have good teachers. But TPO didn't have a good network in companies but my college days were best so it was a lovely journey in my life. Lastly I would say "I GONNA MISS MY COLLEGE DAYS "
