Entrance Preview

I gave WBJEE and my rank was 8234 and I got admission in civil branch of this college.Civil Branch is core branch so I choose it. I got admission through WBJEE counselling. After entering college I get to know that direct admission also takes place in this college which is known as decentralised counselling.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure is good but the teacher teaches only a small portion of it which is easily covered by students in 5-10 days before exam. There is no focus on research. In CASE of IT branch we have C , C++,Data structure,Java etc. There is no python AI etc. in syllabus you will have to study from NPTEL.

Internships Opportunities

Our college don't provide the internship. We arrange it on our own.Even a single internship offer is not provided by college.

Placement Experience

1

In CSE and IT branch there are 50% placement providing AVG. salary of 3 lpa. In core branches like civil electrical etc. there is rarely any company comes for recruitment.3-4 students gets placed in core branches through campus placement. Highest package was 9 lpa but that was off campus. On campus highest package was 6 lpa.

College Events

2.5

Recently both cultural and technical festivals took place in our college named as waltz after 2 years. This year no fresher's was given. Previous year fresher's was given. In technical fest there was robotics competition and treasure hunt was there.Tech fest and cultural fest has a winning prize amount of 2 lakhs.( Overall ).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible compared to other private engineering colleges I pay rs. 27500 per semester excluding hostels.Hostel charges are 900 per six month for living and for food it is 2600 per month for 1st year and 2100 per month from second year onwards. In first year if you are in hostel then there is compulsory of 40 meals each meal costing 40 rs .From second year u can eat from outside also.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a scholarship for students having monthly income less than 1 lakh per annum. There tuition fees will be reduced to half or may be totally based on their interviews. For loan they will provide bonafide and fee structure only nothing else.

Campus Life

0.5

Campus life is good.boys to girls ratio is 7:1. There are various clubs like literary clubs , coding clubs, robotics club, debate club etc. There is no facility of sports here. There is only one ground available which is also very small and is not good for playing. No equipment are provided by college. You will have to arrange on your own. There are two canteens. One is dhaaba type and other one is good. Some discrimination are there between Bihari and Bengali boys.Staffs don't treat good with Bihari boys.No student union is present here. Some extracurricular programme takes place like hacking workshops ,machine learning workshops etc.No WiFi is available entire college.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumni network. Some seniors are helpful while others are there to destroy youcompletely.Ragging takes place in 2nd year in hostel.Ragging in college is very limited but in hostel it is in large extent I had interaction with various seniors and neither of them had jobs.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is not so hectic. Labs takes place on 3 days in a week and duration of each lab is 2 hours.Mid term exam and semester exam takes place during a semester. No other exam ( theoretical ) takes place.lab exams are conducted before semester exams in which everyone get passed if he had attendance and had submitted files. Day is not hectic.

Admission

I got admission through WBJEE counseling. I gave WBJEE exam and secured 8234 rank and I was alloted. Then I came to this college for reporting and I paid my semester fees and admission fees.I was alloted hostel in 2nd round so I had to live in rooms outside campus for 15 days.Administration is very poor as there is a single accountant and there was huge rush during admission days.

Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
