Remarks

Good remarks i have many as infrastructure is very good with girls hostel facilities , gurudwara in premises , auditorium , grounds , socities are well versed , and an atmosphere to develop to face future challenges

Entrance Preview

No particular exam is required .the admission criteria is through the cutoffs of du. In 2016, my admission year first cut off went to 97% and I got admission in 4 cut off that was 95.25 ( my score was 95.75 best four excluding maths but for BCom h you must have maths). I choose this college because of its infrastructure, location, faculty, placement cell and the opportunities attached to the societies within the college which give a great exposure to change our overall personality.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since I am pursuing BCom h, all the curriculum is respect to du guidelines and the faculty are also the chief members in du subject wise meetings which gives us as students the exposure of each and every aspect of syllabus and pattern of exams.T he faculty is well versed in their own fields of subjects and are friendly and polite in their way to teach. Regular assignments and presentations are given by them.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our placement cell provides with regular informations about the internship and respective steps to enroll ourselves .there is also an internship fair conducted in college every year where there is a pool of companies searching for fresh talents .but they dont gurantee for internship for each and every student

Placement Experience

4.5

As far as I know, all big 4 companies come to take students from our college and last year 100 students were picked by them. The placement cell of college help us to guide through the whole process from the scratch how to make a resume, how to crack exams and the interviews .well known companies are there to fetch talents and equal weight age is given to every student.

College Events

4

There is an yearly cultural fest organised by the elected memebers of student council, freshers party both official and unofficial and farewell also goes in same line . All students can volunteer the work in there .in frshers only 1 st year students can take part for mr/mrs. Fresher .

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible as the facilities provided are better than some other colleges in du whoes fees is less than ours ..so the fees charged is equivakent to facilities provided thus not much expensive (22000 for an year ).this fees is much lower than other private universities . In 22000 facilities like projector equipped classes, water coolers , rooms for socities , gym , grounds for sports , auditorium , guruduwara , canteen , hanging gardens , parking , hostels , computer labs , well maintained classes , bank in premises and obviously awesome teachers so i think which is more than we pay

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there is a scholarship but it is only restricted to sikh minority and not others as there is no sc, st , obc reservations.

Campus Life

4.5

Many events both intra and inter colleges are there. The gender ratio is approx 60 -40. Sports events also take place where our sports team take part in a game against other colleges .socities also organizes events regularly and yearly there are a cultural fest, elections and freshers and farewell party. Sggscc is one of the best-known colleges for its faculty and placement in du. It is just younger to other well-known colleges in du but mark up them on the top college list.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The food that canteen provides is very fresh and tatsy and pocket friendly too..earlier there were no hostels but the cobstruction of girls hostel is now approx complete thus which ia good for outstations students and i dont know much about it as i am a delhite

Alumni/Alumna

When i got admission the first interaction of mine was with seniors who were so much friendly and polite . No ragging is there and seniors act just as a guideline for us and help in every aspect as needed .

Admission

As i mentioned above , you first have to fill a centralised form on du website and check regularly the cutoffs of the college you are interested in and as and when you see that you match the crietetia fill the respective college form online and print it .Go to respective college premises with your 12 documents ( photographs ,marksheet, tc , character certificatie , the printed form and any other form given by your school ) their photostats ( self attested ) . As and when you reach the college volunteers are there to help you with further processes if the requirements are met .And if you are a sikh minority the procedure is little bit different which the volunteers will let you know. There are no reservations for sc/st/obc in this college .

Faculty

4.5

A magazine is provided to us when we apply for admission which consists of the team of teachers with their qualifications and the positions they hold.T hey are writers of the book that du provides us for studying , are well qualified and known.A nd yes we cant judge how a teacher is good or bad as a bad teacher for me can be good for others but yes i can say they are well qualified , hardworking , take pain to make each student understand the new subject line in their own ways may be just by dictating or interactive session

Course Curriculum Overview:

My liking for accepting influenced my decision to choose b.com hons . The curriculum prepares well for real world applications however I think that work on field give more knowledge. Teachers should teach with real life case studies and examples rather than with the bookish theories. The exam are not that though if you had go through the whole syllabus for once (nicely) you can pass the exam with good marks .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.Com with Economics as my course.Because I have done 11-12 from commerce site and I am interested in commerce subjects like accounts, economics. The problems that occur in this subject It takes some time to understand this. You have to study in the right way and take classes. Most importantly, if you want to score good marks in the exam, then you should not skip any exam, be it theory or internal assessment. In this field you can make your future in the lines of accounting economist, otherwise this course is the best according to me and I like it.And if you go ahead and do higher studies in this also Like you can do higher studies in accounting line Due to which your knowledge will increase further.

I would say, the curriculum is also good, like we have labs, and tutorial classes also, in which students get their answers and their doubts are solved. Area of improvement - There should be proper labs of python lecture classes.

The teaching method of the teachers are the best and their no need to change but some teachers take less time and finishes important topic so they can teach more. The time table of our college is very manageable and the timings of the paper are good and the teacher takes class test on weekly basis so it help us to learn topic easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is thorough and pertinent, in my opinion. I chose this course because it helps me understand real-world business situations by covering both the theoretical and practical aspects of commerce, such as accounting, economics, and business law. The subjects are helpful for both real-world employment and future studies like an MBA or CA. Although the course prepares us well, it could be enhanced by including more hands-on learning opportunities, internships, and professional guest lectures. To make lessons more interesting, teachers can employ more interactive techniques like group discussions and digital resources. Exams are scheduled appropriately, but occasionally the timetable feels constrained and leaves little time for review. The exam is at a moderate level and assesses more than just memorisation; it tests our comprehension of subjects.
