If you want to admission to MAKAUT then here is some eligibility - like you have a minimum of 65% marks in your previous course to participate in the CET entrance exam. The application forms will provide through the MAKAUT portal, and application fees and dates will also mention there. For reservation benefits, you also contact the administrative department.

Course Curriculum Overview

The MSc molecular biology is one of the interesting science subjects, here to learn how the molecules of the human body are works, like - immunology, signal transduction, cell pathways, biochemistry, enzymology, etc. The faculty: student ratio is nice. All faculty are minimum have post-doctoral certificates, and the teaching method is also very experienced. Here is 5 exam per semester including the final exam, and the difficulty to pass is good or average.

The internship is also available for the courses, but stipends are different course by course. Here is submit a project which is done by the final semester. Tasks are different by the individuals of the courses

Here several courses are available so the fee structure also changes from course to course, but this is a govt. University soo the fees structure is much less than compared to the other private university. The scholarship names are - SVMCM, OASIS, NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP, etc.

Campus Life

The annual fest is called biosas, and also the fest happened every 3 months. The library is much bigger and also any types are book is available. All classrooms are smart classrooms with led screens and projectors. The curriculum and sports and organized regularly from time to time.

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

I and my parents had decided that , I'll take admission in a good college within a feasible distance from my home in WB. So , I had applied to CS/IT branches in Jadavpur university , Government college of engineering and leather technology and MAKAUT . Out of these first I got selected in GCELT , later I got MAKAUT . I chose MAKAUT over the previous one because It had a bigger campus and better infrastructure . I got rejected from Jadavpur because of my rank of state rank of 3600... which is not enough for a general candidate to get into CS/IT branches of it. The admission process is straightforward. After getting selected through the counselling process you get an intimation from the university to visit the campus for document verification. The eligibility is you need to clear WBJEE exam with a decent rank and the cutoff depends on a lot of factors the difficulty of the exam , no. of students who appeared for it etc....Read More
