Cooch Behar Panchanan Barma University is one of the top state Universities in Cooch Behar district, West Bengal established in 2012. The University is approved by UGC. The university offers various UG, PG, and doctoral level courses. It also offers B.Voc in Mass Communication and Journalism, Certificate Course in Data Analytics and Mushroom Cultivation and Processing. CBPBU Cooch Behar Admission

The admission to this University is purely based on Merit, Entrance exam scores, and Interview depending upon the opted course. For UG admission, a candidate must have passed 10+2 with at least 55% marks. For PG admission, a candidate must have passed graduation in 10+2+3/4 years pattern. For Ph.D. and M.Phil. admission, a candidate must have passed PG in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks and should qualify in the RET. Register for RET and download your admit card to take up the exam. Wait for the results to get admitted into the Ph.D. offered here.

The admission process for UG, PG, and Ph.D. courses starts in May, July, January months respectively. The applications could be submitted both in online and offline modes.

Candidates need to register themselves on the official site of respective exams.
For online applications, the candidate needs to download the admission form through online via the official website of the university.

Admission:

I wouldn't say that My university is far more better than all the University in West Bengal but rather I would say that , This University decorum is same as all the state dubbed universities in the state of West Bengal. Since Coochbehar is my hometown , so I preferred to study in this University. So , I can live in my home and attend all classes as I want to learn physics. Besides , I heard that physics department here is very much good. So I got admitted here although NBU, GBU, RGU, BU, SKBU, KNU etc. offered me seats for the same course.

Atmosphere is overall Hygenic. Bathrooms and other necessities are provided.
Wifi Facility for all the Students are provided here
The Library is everytime accessible . The Library staffs are very helpful , One Can go everytime in Library reading room Premises

Dislikes

Library Should Contain a Lot varities of Book More. Like Much more versatile books of a topic.
Actually, The Space is very less. University is Over a very short span area & classrooms are not sufficiently big.
In the University road & University, there is little bit less eco friendly. I think More tree plantation should be initiated.

Admission:

My CGPA is Very High 9.13 & I have got a chance in all other universities like NBU, APDU , RGU, GBU , VU , SKBU & many more.But the Fact is, Being a resident of Coochbehar I heard that the CBPBU physics department is dedicated for Teaching Physics. And It's situated in my hometown so I decided to study here. MSc degree is same overall in all West Bengal state government-sponsored university. So I hereby decided to study in my hometown rather than going outwards.In accordance to the WBHED notification, this University starts admission in Online mode. Process is very easy , They have 80:20 ratio for Home & Other university students & they consider CGPA of Graduation as the Merit Point. The Publish Provisional & Final Merit List. You just pay fees on appearing the name in Admission call list & you are admitted. After than, You have to appear in document verification.

I have applied in Nbu and Cbpbu and i got selected in both.i choose this college bcoz the college is very big and sports and cultural events always goes on.. No..i didn't make it there bcoz my gf was not there..nothing went wrong Simple admission process and everything is very simple except the cruel office staffs! Cutoff is 12 out of 40 Attendance is 10% needed only.

To make it easy I would like to tell you that I am not a bright student, especially my science ground was really poor. I could barely manages to qualify 10th examination with help of arts subject. After 12th I applied to Dinhata College and A.B.N Seal College. But I couldn't make it to A.B.N Seal just because my 10th result was poor enough, that's why I choose Dinhata College as a second option. But this second option provided me many opportunities that I qualified UGC NET to apply for PhD in my first attempt though I couldn't make it to JRF. But I hope good for the next time.

College Administration was very helpful and active
The exposure to various platforms is planned by the authority. NSS is also very active in the College which teaches the students the value for society.
The college campus has a perfect ground for practising all kinds of Sports they even have High Jump pit.

Dislikes

Politics in College is very bad , it spoils the decorum of an educational institute.

Admission:

The admission in the department is based on academic performance and sports certificate of any level. a physical fitness test is conducted for the selection of students. The admission process includes all the objectives that are needed for a Physical Education student.

To get admission in our college you have to get marks around 85% in higher secondary exam . I'm talking about mathematics stream. Maybe for other streams low marks is considerable. There's no exam based admission you can get admission by marks . The difficulty level to get chance is moderate.

Likes

Infrastructure and the class room are good for the students
Faculty members are quite good , it also have canteen facilities which is good
Parking spaces, and a big ground also available that's good

Dislikes

Office staff should be more friendly with the students.
Number of facilities needs to increase. Toilet and availability of drinking water needs to improve.

Admission:

Someone who wants to take admission he needs pass 12th pass or equivalent qualification then after the college notice it's admission period of its respective website . The admission period start after the declaration of 12th result of wbchse. There is a good number reservation is available for the sc,st and other backward categories. The examination process held after every six months throughout the course duration. The exam level is not much difficult it's moderate to eassy . I think the college needs to improve their admission process in some areas like the process of its quite slow and fees of its also quite hard for the backward classes which needs to improve as soon as possible. Also the merit list which the college publishe is also need to currect.
