Niper Kolkata has its own fest called spectra which happens every year which goes for about a month. Our library has numerous amount of books, the only disadvantage is that there is no sitting area to study, you just have to issue and take it home. We have smart board and internet connection providing us best quality of education. We have badminton court, table tennis board, carrom etc for sports. Niper kolkata does have sport club which conducts various sports events

Hostel Facilities

4

As it is a reneted hostel so facilities are not good. But in new campus the hostel are amazing. The mess meal has a poor quality though it is getting improved day by day. The registration of hostel is done on the day of registration in the college and it a one day process. Hostel is very much affordable only rs.7500 but montly fees of 3100 is needed for mess. I have not opt for pg so I have no idea about it.

Admission

I wanted to study in this premium institute as it comes under INI. Thats why i gave exam for Niperjee exam. Later with counselling i got this niper. There are seven nipers all are chosen with ranks. With my rank I got into this niper. To enter into this institute first you have to qualify GPAT then Niperjee to enter in this college. They release on qualified list there is no cutoff in there only the qualfied students reg no.

Faculty

5

All the courses has faculty ratio of 5:1 expect few like pharmacology and medical chemistry. They have 4:1 ratio. Dr. Santanu Kaity sir, Dr. Pallab Datta sir and Dr. S. Natesan sir are amazing faculty members in my department. They clear our concept and guide us in labs properly. All the faculties are highly qualified and amazing, so there is no one to dislike. Every semester 2 exams are conducted, one is mid term and other is end term. All students clears the exam properly.

Night Life

5

Niper kolkata doesn't have a permanent hostel yet but will be shifting to new campus in 2025. So new hostel will be provided. But nightlife is good in the hostel. Till 10:00 pm outing from hostel is allowed. There is no sexism here regarding gender. Campus timing is from 6am-10 pm. Famous shop is dulal da tea shop.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.
