Remarks
We began our admission process in 2020, post 12th class boards. The eligibility for B.com Hons was an average of 4 subjects (including 1 language). The work was done through DU's website. It was a smooth process. We had to apply for colleges in between our 12th class session. Application fees varied in case of opting for an entrance exam or more applications. However, I felt we weren't being notified about the updates on a regular basis. The rest of the things were easy and accessible for a layman.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had planned to pursue B.com hons because it is a holistic course related to finance. In addition to this, I aspire to work in the finance stream. The faculty was well versed and qualified but a few teachers lacked the enthusiasm to teach properly. They taught just for the sake of teaching without taking much feedback from their students. The term exams were delayed a bit due to the pandemic. However, if well prepared, they were easy to crack and score well.
Internships Opportunities
The companies include Deloitte, KPMC, and many other exceptional companies offered to students in various fields. Roles are mostly offered in auditing for b.com hons students. No such projects are given and hence no outcomes.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for placement in Semester 5. Great companies such as Deloitte, KPMC, etc visit colleges every year. Don't really know the exact number of offers made. Apparently, the average package is 3 Lakh. Most of the students get placed. Post graduation. I would be working in an MNC.
Fees and Financial Aid
I feel the cost of pursuing any course in SGGSCC is way too high as compared to other DU colleges. Taking into consideration its infrastructure and quality education, I still feel the cost should be reduced and made competitive. As far as I remember, prices were hiked after the pandemic which became a cause of concern for many. Since I haven't availed any scholarship and financial assistance, can't say anything regarding that. Plus jobs on campus are provided in 3rd year and currently I'm in my second-year.
Campus Life
Life at campus is soothing and full of learning and unlearning. Our college hasn't conducted any annual and tech fest so far. Books and journals are available for access to any student. However, the books are old editioned which does not really help much. AC's are being set up currently and will probably be functional in the next session. There is a blackboard provided to teachers. Since my college is not that big in size, not many sports activities are available. However, key highlights include shooting and a gym. There are clubs/societies for various domains run by students.
