Remarks
College management and faculty was supportive, helpful and guide students to become profesionnaly successful by choosing the right course after graduation.
Course Curriculum Overview
As we were the 2nd batch of this college the infrastructure, placement, course curriculum and exam structure was still in a developing stage. At that time the college put more emphasis on attendance (which should be more than 90percent) and your other areas of interest apart from studies. This approach helps students in building a go getter attitude and discipline in their life.
Placement Experience
The placement cell was not fully developed and operational as the college was still in the 2nd year of existence.
College Events
College fest, bhangra competition, cricket and football tournaments. college fest and bhangra competition was always a hit among college students especially from khalsa college, SRCC. As our college was having a friendly relation with khalsa college and SRCC the students of both these colleges comes here for participating in different events and students from our side also goes to khalsa college for NCC camp and other events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At that time it was feasible. The fees can be paid either quartely, half yearly and yearly through cheque of demand draft. There was a complete transparency in fees structure and that the college also accept management quota fees but still it was lower than what other colleges used to charge.
Fees and Financial Aid
I had opted for education loan from punjab and sind bank. As they have a very transparent with no hidden charge education loan. So it was a best bet for me.
Campus Life
College does not discriminate students on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity. As the college was new and evolving awareness among students were less but still the college give its students fresh and vibrant environment to learn and grow. With continues support from director sir and the faculty the college inculcates its students with gender and race sensitivity and valuing human life.
Hostel Facilities
I had not opted for hostel facility as the college was very near to my residence. Neither I know that they were providing any hostel facility or not. As the college was in its 2nd year only I think the college was not providing any hostel facility at that time.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors were very helpful during the college years in academic as well in other spheres of college life.
Admission
I got 70 percentage in class 12th result and the cut-off list of this college was around 75 percentage in the year 1999. So, Merit list together with a short interview with the the Director sir pave my way into this college. My sole criteria of choosing this college was the Cut-off mark that closely matches my class 12th result.
Faculty
As mentioned earlier the college was at a nascent stage, the faculty department was still evolving. But still the faculty was very good in imparting knowledge particularly accounts and punjabi lectures. Management lectures were fun as the faculty provide us the real case studies to explain different concept. and for a more student friendly approach the college was hiring young faculty in the age bracket 30 - 40 years. The college put more emphasis on sports and dance as evident from different inter college tournaments.
