The admissions are offered based on entrance exam scores, followed by counseling procedures. Candidates may appear at the national level, state level, and university level entrance exams like LAT, AILET, LSAT, etc. Some universities offer admissions in the law UG courses after the 12th class based on the merit list. Without appearing in the counseling, no candidate will be allotted a seat.
For LLB and LLM admissions, the CLAT exam is conducted. Students with 10+2 or any equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% in the case of SC/ ST students) can appear in the test.
The exam is conducted offline with 5 sections for LLB and 3 sections for LLM. The nature of the questions is objective type (MCQ) with 0.25 as a negative marking.
