SRM University Sonepat Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement record of this college is not good so far but is improving every year , the amount of students getting placed increase every year. That's the reason I took admission here. The faculty seems to work hard for the future of students

I’m only just past my first year, so I haven’t yet taken part in any placement drives, but I’ve learned that students become eligible in their seventh semester once they’ve cleared all papers with at least a 50% score. From what seniors say, big names like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and Cognizant visit the campus, offering around fifty, thirty, twenty and fifteen slots each, plus a handful from smaller firms. Last year’s top package was about 21LPA, and the average landed near 6.5LPA.

The yearly fee for my course is 2,66,000/- out of which 2,50,000 is the tuition fee and the remaining 16,000 covers library and sports facilities. The college offers scholarships for students who do well in academics and an exam is held before the admission called 'SRMHCAT' on the basis of which the percentage of the scholarships is decided.

The course that i am pursuing is from a MNC that is IBM i really liked the industrial collaboration and i was convinced to take this course. The course has all the core subjects that are necessary for real life experiences. I personally find the course intact and complete. I do not find any space for improvements.

Course is very much similar to other private universities. Level of study is also average, you don't have to study for like whole sem for good grades, just night before exams and you are good to go..

The on campus placement is currently low due to many factors like recession period, the major tech company like infosys and wipro. Only the final year students are eligible for campus placements . For on campus placement offers was for 10 lpa and for off campus it was 40 lpa and the average was around 4 lpa.

Placements start from 6th semester. Students without backlogs are eligible for placements however students with backlogs are required to clear backlogs till 7th semester to become eligible for placments. Companies that visit are LAVA, AIRTEL, IBM, etc. Average package is 7.5 lpa and highest for year 2024 was 32.5 lpa.

My plans is to try and take on campus placement in a reputed company and even if I don't get on campus placement I'll also apply off campus for a better package.

the curriclum of the univeresity is well designed and some other subjects are added with the course for adding other knwoledge with in the course and exam takes place three time in each semester 2 mid sem test and 1 end sem exam

The course curriculum was relevance it provides us the deep knowledge of the course no suggestion for the improvement the teaching method was great as the teachers were experienced The frequency and the timing of exam were great even we won't have any difficulties in exam.
