There aren't any clubs we can hardly have any functions. Even the convocation are held too late like after 2 years or even more of your graduation. The only department that has any technical program is computer science. Other than that seminars are held in frequent intervals.

Faculty

The faculties are well qualified and teach good. Every department has its own library where one can access books which are rare and in limited editions. The exams are held in pattern of internals and semester exams. 3 internals and final semester exam.

Around 40 students there are 6 to 7 faculties are available which is good but some faculties are not that good they don't have enough knowledge about their respective subject and qualification of faculty is not good where some teachers are very good in teaching and active in other activities like Dr Shivani patel ma'am is good and their nature is very helpful and kind also dipak vyas sir, kashish bhatt , Nisha Garg ma'am ,trusha gajaria, Pratapsinh Gohil, varsha kriplani this faculty are very good but some have ego and anger issue but I am can't take their name In this University there are 2 exam one is mid semester exam and second is end semester exam in 41 students class there are 5 to 7 students are fail

Placement Experience

At 7th and 8th semester students are eligible for campus placement and I am truly say that our college placement is not good because this is new university in respective bsc course there are not placement available but other branch like engineering diploma pharmacy that students are eligible for placement average package is 25000 per month and highest package is 14lakh per annum and 80-90 % students get their placement my plan is after degree is master of science in good college

Faculty and student relationship is the only thing good in that college. They are always good and welcoming in their own way. Teach us and tell us about thier experiences and extra syllabus classes are given. Overall department faculties members are like this , good to students. As for the best faculty, i definitely vote for our bioscience department. Internal exams are conducted in every semester. The marks vary for core(40) and complementary paper(30). The university exams are also conducted correctly. The syllabus are completed and revision are also completed before the external exam. In the first semester our class had 100% pass .

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is Rs 19,500 (merit quota) for one semester and we have to pay Rs 27,500 in admission. Comparing to other courses, our fees is high since it is self financing course. You have to pay building fees and other deposit s for management quota. The admission fees (27,500/-)includes tuition fees(19,500/-), caution deposit (5000/-), registration fees(3,000/-). This fee structure may change according to coming years. Also we have to pay PTA fund and SAF . They also provide fees consideration for community,sc, obc quotas.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly the fees is 70,000 in my course, along with that we have to pay exam fee for each end sem exam which is about 2,800 including all papers. For admission I paid around 500. Science fees are a bit more because of laboratory fees as well. There are various scholarships given for ST/SC students, disabled students and students who are exceptional in studies. Every year internships are given with certificate which is optional. Extra courses are given to boost our CVs. Lots of competitions and clubs are present to help students boost their CVs and morale too. Certificate courses such as cpr course is offered along with many other options. Overall I would recommend this college because of its infrastructure, staff, activities, well equipped laboratories and so much opportunities which are given. Thank you

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is very proportionate. The faculty are generally very supportive and knowledgeable and are very approachable. We can even text them at any time and they will answer your queries. I personally like my department faculties because of the before mentioned reasons. Some of them are a bit difficult because they catch you for a very small mistake and note your info. Otherwise overall they all good. There are a total of 6 exams in a 3 year course, 3 mid terms and ,end sems, it is easy or difficult depending upon the syllabus for that term. It is very relevant to the course curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is one of the good college in Mysore region and i chose because this only reason. Curriculam doesn't prepare well enough to face the real world and also for industries all you have to do is to be prepare from all yourself. You well get all the data from internet ultilize it for your growth purpose. I would recommend do add aplacement cell to college and thaught student with research and industries realted. Usually we get 4monts for a semester and 1 month break for sussicive one.

Faculty

The faculties are good and knowledgable to teach and they are qualified with PhD. But even though they stick on to the prescribed textbooks which should be improved. and the classes will be intreactive. I personally like Dr.P K Maheshwar department of microbiology, he is good at guieing students. i don't like some faculties because of their arrogance and poor skills. The college usually conducts semester base exams which is easy ans moderate level of difficulty.

Faculty to students ration is overall average, it's very easy to approach the faculties if you need any help. Personally i likes Assistant professor Pratapsinh Gohil because of his friendly and supportive behaviour, Pratapsinh Gohil is one of the best faculty. There is no any faculty whom i don't like, evryone is so supportive and helpful to us. There are 2 exam every semester, first is mid semester exam which taken after half semester, and 2nd one is final semester exam, which is taken by University. The percentage of rhe students who failed the final semester exam is only 2% to 3%. Exam difficulty depends on us that how we prepared for it. Course curriculum is very helpful for us, even though there are many subjects from other fields that we studies for our knowledge and knowing new skills.

Campus Life

Talking about library you can find books realted to every course like seriously you can find anything there, very friendly environment you can get last year question paper from there as well to get a through understanding how paper actually comes. Sports was very decent i myself went to play chess at college level they motivate you to participate in particular activities but the footbaal team is very nice if you are some play footbaal you reallu like it here. Social and music club is ther

Faculty

Our faculty memebers has quite the knowledge about the academic pr the subject they are teaching, the teacher to student ratio was very sturdy there i two or 3 professors for every subject for us to gain indepth knowledge, mukesh sir and sakina mam i like a lot becausr they teach us in a way make us understand each and every thing. I don't know there were as such faculty i hate because each of them had a very crucial part in life they have provided us with great knowledge so i don't thing so you dislike any of them, in my course i have basicaly 3 main subject- chemistry, lifesciene, microbiology each of there divided into 3,2,2parts which leads to 7 main exam and 2 foundaton course, English or hindi depending on what you opt for. The paper was completely based on syllabus and according to our understanding, it was not tough or easy it was medium sometime application basr question asked in chemistry but it was not that hard for us, and i like the paper setting they give you option.

since the college has around 8000 students, no fests are held together due to fights and problems between students and hence only very less celebrations are done and i attended only 2 to 3 fests in my entire college lofe The books in library are outdated and there is no proper set of books for the students and people just issue books and never return back and these book will be seen only after a semester ends. only students who have a sport background are given more training to represent the college and there are no clubs or anything like that.

Faculty

there are 60 students in a class and a tutor is assigned who will be throughout the entire 3 years. The only good teacher was Prof. Jayashree who encouraged me in doing several hands on training and several projects. Many other teachers are just the students who passed out from the same college. the exams need no preparation just a one night study before the exam is enough for 90 percent

Fees and Financial Aid

I am paying 8360 in a one installment. Total fees is 16720. tuition fees 1050. They have taken a registration fees 75 rupees and admission fees is 50 then laboratory fees is 200. Development fee is 125 rupees and University development fees is 350 and laboratory deposit is 500 rupees and no category or anything is applicable to me as I am from open category. Urban of my friend is from SC category and she got only she feel only 1500 or something 2000 about amount where as one of my friend is OBC category and she go shepherd only something 4 to 5000. Scholarships are available on the basis of merit and financial aid is like if you work in college or they will give you some work and then you will get the payment by them and a 50 + results are needed where as there is a merit list for the admissions in microbiology by technology or any higher departments only few sites are reserve there. Even after taking microbiology in BSC in MSC only 4 to 5 students are selected.

Faculty

The faculties are well manured well educated and very nice to us our HOD of microbiology is so sweet and understand us and tries to complete our every need. One of my favourite faculty of microbiology is our HOD Dr .Leena Pathak mam she is so excellent in her work and as so well mannered and the educated and understand source is like one of the best teacher we have. We have four exams all over the year as a first semester and second semester exams while two internal exams which have easy to moderate level of a questions and some are hard questions like the exam paper is good for our learning and our idea of thinking. The course curriculum is best. Many students fail to clear this exams as they have difficulty level and many students drop out after first year or sometimes 2nd year as the fail and only few students go till m.sc.

There were celebrations of festivals like onam Christmas etc, in September and December months. There were also cultural celebrations in all the semesters. Our college had a really good and best library, which was a boon to all the students. As there were times when we should hit the library to make extra notes and study materials. There were student organized clubs like eco club , rotary club , NSS. There were programs including cleaning week ,charity drives etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choosed this course because of the lab facilities that they proposed to us , and they fulfilled to an extent. There were adequate mock tests along with two internal exams and a semester exams. There were retests for those who cannot appear for the previous exams.I think the improvement should be in areas were there must be more practical sessions, and real time sessions.

The college students can participate in various festivals, like youth festival which is very fun and the faculties are kind enough to excuse students that participate in case they aren't able to show up for class or submit something late The libray is very well maintained and multiple copies of the same books are easily available there, there is a large collection of books of all departments. The reading room is also nice. The available computers are in great condition There are various sports and extracurricular activities available for students to learn for free during college hours.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course that I picked is B.Sc. in Microbiology and it counts as a Grant in-aid course and therefore the yearly fees are very less compared to the courses which do not count as grant in-aid courses, Currently I'm paying 5,000Rs as Second year fees, which is pretty affordable. There are scholarships available for OBC and SC category students for Education fees and Hostel fees.

Faculty

Well as far as i konw the biochem faculty is too strict whith their submissions attendance and practicals even the teaching staff is quite strict with students and they always have some sort of pressure for students to complete their studies . The examination pattern are quite good actually first the have internals which were too easy it clears yours basics and then they have their semisters my semisters haven't yet started so i don't have any ideas about the papers and thier dofficulties .

Fees and Financial Aid

I've paid somewhat around 8135/- this year. The tution fees, caution fees, development fees, lab fees were all included in the main payment rest the registration fees were 100/- and admission fees were 100/-. One of my batchmate who is currently studying bsc biochemistry has paid around 8100/- . There are many scholarships for students who has weak financial support like central sector scheme of scholarships , state government scholarships etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is in between 39,000 to 47,000. And extra 3,400 for exam fees per semester. My batchmates are of OBC and SC,ST who get the fees lower compared to general category. There is no financial aid provide nor any guidance provided to apply to such scholarships.

Faculty

The faculty are shit and unapproachable. They are very egoistic and self centered . They don't allow us to get the exposure we want as researchers . Exam papers are set only to fail us and they don't do proper correction of the answer sheet.

Ques. Which one is better for a BSc in microbiology Ram Lal Anand College or Swami Shraddhanand College?

● Top Answer By Veena Dutta on 04 Oct 21

Ans. The better choice would definitely be Ram Lal Anand College after what I have learned from my friends studying there. The campus might not be as extravagant as other colleges, but if you want to study microbes, Ram Lal Anand College is the best choice. The reasons to choose this college over Swami Shraddhanand College are as follows: The best microbiology course offered by Delhi University. It is a really underrated college. Thus you may not hear about it in discussions. The students from this college have got their research papers printed in international papers. The faculty is highly experienced at the University of Delhi in Microbiology and they guide you at every single step of your course. Categories B.Sc. Microbiology at Ram Lal Anand College Swami Shraddhanand College Course Fee 36,465 36,225 Placement Percentage 60-75% - Highest CTC 16 LPA 12 LPA Average CTC 5 LPA 3.5 LPA So I would say Ram Lal Anand College over Swami Shraddhanand College any day. But ultimately it is your choice, make an informed decision and choose the one that satisfies your requirements.Read more

Ques. What is minimum marks to get bsc in microbiology in st. Xavier's autonomous college in kolkata? Is there any chance of getting admission with 60%?

● Top Answer By Rupkotha Banerjee on 28 Feb 22

Ans. The basic eligibility requirement for securing admission at St. Xavier’s College Kolkata is 60% aggregate marks, along with 60% marks in Biology and Chemistry separately.  The cutoff score is calculated by adding Aggregate percentage, Biology percentage, Chemistry percentage. The cutoff is calculated out of 300. If you are a CBSE/ISC student, having a score above 285 should get you a seat. For WBCHSE, a score of 275 should do. Cutoffs for other state boards are higher. Read more
